A secluded, rural location set in the Olchon Valley on a 70 acre farm with dramatic mountain backdrop. The folding glass doors of the barn open up onto a pretty lawn, orchard and wildflower meadow with plenty of space for guests to explore. The super friendly team at Lower House Farm have a flexible approach, allowing you to put your own stamp on the venue and create the day you’ve dreamed of. With a dedicated wedding coordinator to help you plan the day, they can offer as much or as little support as you would like. Exclusive to you, the beautifully restored, 17th century barn with vaulted ceilings, flagstone floors and oak timber beams has space for up to 120 guests to feast on long wooden tables with sheepskin adorned benches. Once transformed for the evening, there is capacity for up to 150 guests to party the night away. Using their home reared meat as well as locally sourced produce, your wedding feast will be cooked in the woodfired outdoor kitchen. Whilst your guests mingle, they can watch the kitchen magic happen and enjoy wafts of succulent joints of meat and charred seasonal veg being prepared. Take a stroll to their own secret waterfall, play lawn games in the huge field bordering the Olchon River, have photos with the dramatic mountain backdrop and even toast marshmallows around the firepit come sunset. A wildly beautiful space to host a day to remember. Glamp near the river or book a stay at their nearby country farm house, Old Great Marlborough, sleeping 22.

Venue hire for a weekend wedding between April and October is £4500 for 2021. Price includes: Use of the venue from Day before - 9am to Day after - 11am. Use of venue until 12 midnight on the day. Use of our 17th Century, lovingly restored, stone and oak-framed barn, surrounding grounds, lawns and meadow as well as walks to surrounding area. Tables, seating and sheepskin rugs. Full on-the-day event team, waiting staff, bar staff and cleaning team. Parking for your guests. Use of surrounding meadows, lawns, allotments and orchard for socialising and lawn games. Fire pits with wood from our farm. Outdoor furniture and picnic benches

Our in-house catering team will create a menu to suit your taste and requirements using locally sourced produce. The average catering price per person is £50. This includes: Canapes, wedding breakfast, woodfired pizzas for the evening All service & cleaning Supply and cleaning of all glassware for the meal. Supply and cleaning of cutlery, crockery and luxury paper napkins. Full ‘Greenhouse’ bar available all day for your guests.

It was incredible, I cannot thank you enough for all the help and support you have provided throughout! All of our guests were happy and had an amazing time! So many people said how beautiful the venue was and how if they could do it all over again they would do it at the farm! We had the most fabulous wedding day at Lower House Farm, it was perfect. As soon as we arrived at the top of the drive and saw the beautiful hills and the farm nestled in the valley – we just knew that this was the perfect place for us.
