Congratulations and thank you for considering Devizes Venues for your forthcoming big day. From the moment you choose to celebrate your wedding with us, you can be assured that we will take care of the smooth running of your event, from assisting with your table plan to announcing the Bride and Groom.
The Town Hall is a fabulous listed Georgian building, which offers the ultimate in Regency grandeur. The Assembly Room on the first floor has been maintained to replicate that grandeur with an Adams style ceiling, magnificent candelabras, infinity mirrors and wooden floor. It is also licensed for civil wedding and partnership ceremonies, combining both your ceremony and reception in one location. We offer exclusive use of the Town Hall for your wedding, ensuring your day is intimate and personal.
For the larger wedding the Corn Exchange provides a fine alternative with the magnificent Ceres Hall capable of accommodating up to 180 for your wedding breakfast. For the smaller celebration the Wessex and Yeoman rooms upstairs along with the balcony can be transformed into the perfect venue for up to 80 guests.
Our nominated caterers will be delighted to discuss your menu options and can tailor make a simple finger buffet to a sumptuous wedding breakfast. To toast your perfect day, we offer an exceptional choice of wines and drinks packages.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We are proud to have hosted a large number of weddings at both the Town Hall and Corn Exchange! All are special and range from traditional events with a classic wedding breakfast to quirky receptions with a sweet shop! One memorable wedding featured pie and mash for the wedding breakfast, champagne drunk from tea cups and flower filled pumpkins adorning the stairs!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Meet the team from your venue as soon as you start planning your big day. Our Venues team pride themselves on supporting couples (and their families!) through the process of planning and organising the wedding and, of course, on the day itself. They love to get involved and are (almost) as proud as the family when the big day happens!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Lots of personal touches spring to mind - at a recent wedding guests were encouraged to write a personal message to the bride and groom and 'post' it in an original vintage post box! The box was cast iron and weighed a ton manoeuvring it into position, but it looked great!
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
On the staircase in the Town Hall.
