Description

Dovecote Barn is a Grade II listed building, full of character and charm with exposed brickwork and oak beams. Formerly known as Park Corner Barn, it dates back from the 18th Century and was part of the Adderbury House estate, built by the Duke of Argyll. Dovecote Barn today has been tastefully restored and is licenced for civil weddings, partnership ceremonies and the renewal of vows and aims to provide a perfect setting for your ceremony. Bo Peep Farm is a family run business allowing us to offer a uniquely personal service, working closely with you and your family to ensure every detail is as perfect as you wish it to be. As well as a memorable ceremony, Dovecote Barn also offers an intimate reception for gatherings of 100 or less. After the event, you and your guests can retire to the beautiful courtyard for a welcome drink while we create the perfect scene for your wedding breakfast. On concluding the meal, allow us to reconfigure the barn once more giving you the space you need to extend the celebrations into the night! If you wish to include evening guests then the barn can fit a total of 140 including your day guests. Here at Dovecote Events we also have a spectacular giant two-hat tipi. Perfect for those seeking something a little different and after that festival-style wedding. The tipi can accommodate a maximum of 120 for your wedding breakfast and a maximum of 150 for your evening reception. For larger gatherings Dovecote Events can also provide a wedding marquee with panoramic views stretching of Adderbury - you won't want to miss the sunset either! We are limited only by your imagination!

The wedding venue is hired on an exclusive basis. When hiring the tipi or marquee you are also guaranteed access to the venue the day prior to your wedding. Support and advice leading up to your wedding day and full event management throughout the wedding day. No daytime corkage (applies to single welcome drink, wedding breakfast wine and toast drink only). Fully staffed and serviced bar. All necessary furniture and table linen. We had the most wonderful wedding day at Dovecote Barn, with the service in the Barn and reception in the Tipi. All our guests loved it and commented on how beautiful the venue was and the amazing set-up. Mel, Matt and Elle were so helpful in the run up to the event, dealing with some quite specific food requests and feedback, and providing recommendations for their preferred suppliers - Terry is a great DJ who had everyone dancing all night! Their pop-up supper club events are excellent too- we took our parents out to dinner to say thank you and the service is faultless. We only wish we could do it all again! We had the most wonderful wedding day at Dovecote Barn, with the service in the Barn and reception in the Tipi. All our guests loved it and commented on how beautiful the venue was and the amazing set-up. Dovecote Barn was the first and only venue we viewed. From the minute Mel and Matt walked us through the beautiful big barn door we just knew this was the ideal place to hold our wedding reception. Dovecote barn has a lovely feeling of warmth & comfort and as we were planning an autumnal wedding, we could really envision our theme and décor fitting in perfectly. The team at Dovecote went above and beyond to work with our vision, making amazing suggestions for our wedding breakfast meal and adapting some dishes on their menus to fit our autumnal vision. The food was outstanding on the day (I'd happily have our wedding breakfast for every meal if I could!), even our guests with various dietary requirements were astounded with their adapted versions of the meals. Mel and Matt not only made us feel relaxed throughout the planning process, but also made us feel like friends. They made every pre-wedding meeting feel so personal and nothing seemed too much for them. We honestly had no worries at all as we knew our wedding reception was in the safest of hands! The team did a fantastic job of setting up in the morning, making everything look perfect & throughout the evening they were professional and attentive. So many of our guests were amazed with the venue, food and relaxed atmosphere Dovecote has to offer! It truly was perfect in every way and absolutely nothing could have been done to top it! We would highly recommend Dovecote Barn to anyone and everyone wanting to plan a relaxed, stress free and unforgettable wedding. Not only for the beautiful venue, but for the wonderful staff too! 'Best day of my life''Best day of my life'
'Best day of my life' was said not only by the bride and groom, but also the mother of the bride. We chose Dovecote Barn because of the laid back attitude of the staff who were accepting of some of my more crazy ideas (we were going to have go karts as part of the reception!). From start to finish, Mel and Matt were incredible. On the day everything ran like clock-work and it all seemed effortless. I am a total control freak and struggled to hand over my ideas for the day... during the wedding whenever I was worrying about something that needed doing, it had already been done so that I could enjoy every second of it. Lots of the guests commented on the beautiful surroundings (we were lucky with the weather too!), someone said it was the best wedding food they had ever had... and there was lots of it so no one went hungry. The best part of it all was that no one there was out to rip us off, prices at the bar were reasonable, we weren't charged corkage for during the day and we were even told that we were feeding our guests too well and that we should change the menu to reduce costs. I couldn't have been happier... it really was the day I had dreamed of, if not better. We just want to say the hugest possible thank you for providing us with such an amazing experience on Saturday. I'm finding it hard to put into words how impressed everyone was with your venue, staff, food, drinks...the list goes on. It's a really difficult thing to achieve, and you guys seem to do it naturally and effortlessly because you genuinely love and enjoy the whole experience. There is no sense of pressure or rush, every single person who needed to contact you did so with ease and it was all just a lovely thing from start to finish. Anyone who uses your venue is in for a treat, you really do it all so well. Mark and I got married here on the 14 September 2019, the venue is fantastic, the food was lovely and all the staff were amazing, Mel and Matt were very professional from the day we viewed last July until our wedding day, we had an absolutely fantastic day which I didn’t want to end all topped off by the beautiful weather, all of our guest said how beautiful the venue was, thank you for giving us some amazing memoriesMark and I got married here on the 14 September 2019, the venue is fantastic, the food was lovely and all the staff were amazing, Mel and Matt were very professional from the day we viewed last July until our wedding day, we had an absolutely fantastic day which I didn’t want to end all topped off by the beautiful weather, all of our guest said how beautiful the venue was, thank you for giving us some amazing memories

I knew it was something special, and special it truly was.I knew it was something special, and special it truly was.
It's been two weeks since we married at Dovecote Barn and we haven't stopped talking about it! We want to say a HUGE thank you to Mel, Matt, Nicky, Tom and the rest of your team for being absolutely outstanding throughout the whole run up to and on our wedding day. I remember visiting your wedding fair this time last year, the minute we were shown around the venue, I knew it was something special & special it truly was. To arranging all the appointments, planning, food tasting and final arrangements, you made us both feel so at ease knowing it was all in hand. Although the rain came to say hello to us on our big day, the staff looked after us and all our guests amazingly. Our guests continue to tell us just how organised the day was, polite and friendly all the staff were, how delicious the food was (hats off to the chef!) and just how stunning the venue is!
