The traditional Castle, steeped in history is an incredible backdrop for your wedding ceremony & drinks reception, before you wander through our beautiful walled gardens to our new Orchard Tipi and Wedding Village, which offers a more relaxed, boho vibe for your wedding reception and evening party.

Infact, this was the only venue we viewed as we could tell from the start it was everything we wanted. The warmth, beauty and grandeur of Fonmon blew us away, and most of all we didn't feel we were part of a 'conveyor belt' of weddings. The staff (especially Hannah) were absolutely incredible- always on hand to answer any queries, so professional and most importantly so lovely! We will always remember our wedding day at Fonmon as the best day of our lives, and I know our guests had a wonderful time too. We fell in love with Fonmon as soon as we first visited. A stunning venue with a really laid back atmosphere. All of our guests have commented on how beautiful the setting was. Thank you so much to Hannah, Mark and all of the staff who helped to make our wedding so special. Hannah was absolutely fantastic in the run up to the day. Nothing was too much trouble and all of the staff made sure the whole day ran smoothly. We even were allowed to bring our dog Walter along to join in the celebrations!! Fonmon Castle is the most beautiful wedding venue we had ever seen- we just had to book it for our wedding! We really wanted to have a personalised wedding which represented us and Fonmon Castle allowed us to do just that! Hannah (the wedding co-ordinator) is just incredible, nothing was ever too much to ask in the run up to our wedding as she genuinely wanted us to have to best day ever (which it really was!) Her meticulous organisation, yet relaxed nature is awesome- I just don’t know how she does it! Mark (the night time manager) is also incredible, he was always instantly on hand to cater for our every need. Whether that was to ensure that bride and groom had a drink in their hand to organising guests into rough lines for confetti and sparkler shots!! Thank you to everyone in Fonmon Castle for making it the best day of our lives! So many of our guests have commented saying how it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and how lovely you guys were! - DDonna Jones (Brides Sister)26/07/2017My Sister's Special DayMy Sister's Special DaySo Fonmon Castle itself was everything and more: beautiful surroundings, the castle was amazing, the staff were fantastic. Every bride wants their day to be magical and special in every way. But this was my baby sister's day and it would be extra special for her as we recently lost our Dad, so my little sister didn't get the chance to have our Dad to do all she ever dreamed of. So this venue was perfect, and it blew us away no doubt, but all her dreams and our wishes for her were short lived and what should have been the happiest day of her life quickly turned to great upset, causing many tears and some embarrassment. We were absolutely appalled with regards to the catering. The cost of food totalled £3000 to feed 50 guests. The choice of menu was a Hogroast which was never served - it was a normal joint of pork, along with a variety of other food. We were informed that all food was freshly prepared but the dessert was frozen and was a bought product - not made by any chef as she was informed. The quality and quantity of food was a disgrace and the presentation looked like no more than an Iceland advert. It would take a great deal of purchasing proof or receipts to convince me that the food in fact didn't come from Iceland or maybe Makro. It was ABSOLUTELY NOT PREPARED BY ANY CHEF FROM SCRATCH AS WE WERE LEAD TO BELIEVE. So overall what started off as a beautiful magical perfect happy wedding day for my sister was quickly turned into the worst day of her life, leaving her in a very tearful, distraught and heart broken.So Fonmon Castle itself was everything and more: beautiful surroundings, the castle was amazing, the staff were fantastic. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Every wedding is special but the bride who came back 15 years after being a bridesmaid at the Castle (and vowing then that she would get married with us) was especially touching.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Fabulous food and drink - a wedding can last more than 12 hours, and guests will always remember if they had enough to eat and drink. SO ensure that you feed your guests enough and make sure its exceptional!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One couple's adorable Staffie rescue dog as their ring bearer - we'd practised a lot and he started off walking sedately up the aisle, but couldn't help himself and galloped the last 10 feet!!!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There are too many to choose from but our favourites have to be the lawns with the Castle as a backdrop and the view across our brand new wedding village towards the Orchard tipi
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Definitely, we've had royalty and Hollywood stars, but we totally respect our guests privacy and we can't reveal any names....
What’s your favourite canapé?
Anything with smoked salmon or caviar....
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Its always got to be cheese and biscuits ;)
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our Gypsy caravan which can be used as a gin bar, a photo booth or even for a tarot reader!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We have the most stunning grounds and such a super friendly team, its the most impressive home from home you can imagine!
