Description

Our venue fee varies from £2,000 to £4,250 depending on the time of year for a Saturday wedding. This price includes use of the barn with heaters and toilets as well as the field next to the barn, 5 bed & breakfast rooms for the night of your wedding, a field for camping if any of your guests would like to and an option for a licensed bar. Whilst in the week we now hold small weddings, 30 guests or less during the winter whilst we can cater for up to 50 guests in the summer. Prices start from £300 for a ceremony only and go up to £1,000 depending on how many guests and how long you want to hire the space for. Depending on the style of wedding you choose other things will need to be hired in. I can give you contact details for everything you need. We now have three different sites licensed for marriage or civil ceremonies, including our gazebo by the lake. If you would like to use St Bartholomews Church at Furtho for a blessing you would need to contact Rev Diane Whittaker in Potterspury on 01908 542043, I believe the charges for the Church are £500 (£200 for the parish and £300 for the Church Conservation Trust who own the Church). We also will only hold one event during a weekend so you can have access to the site from the Thursday before your wedding to set up. We now host a few small weddings on Tuesdays. The price for these range from £300 to £1,000 depending on number of guests and the time you would like to be on site. For a Saturday wedding reception the price is from £2,000 to £4,250 depending on the time of year. The perfect wedding venueThe perfect wedding venue
The perfect wedding venue. A slice of rural beauty tucked away off the A5. Linda and Robin provided us with a blank canvas to create the wedding exactly how we wanted it. They were so helpful and approachable every step of the way and their experience of hosting events was invaluable. Our wedding photographers commented on just how picturesque the venue is. Whether it’s the barn itself, the church, the dovecote, the lake or the rolling fields filled with sheep. There are photo opportunities everywhere you look. The farmhouse provides great accommodation, and for other guests there are plenty of hotels in nearby Stony Stratford. We cannot recommend Furtho Manor Farm enough. Thank you to Linda and Robin for providing us with the best place in which we had the best day of our lives. Charlie and Stacey xThe perfect wedding venue. Perfect in every way Perfect in every way
This was the first venue we viewed and. We knew from the minute we drove down the picturesque path next to fields of lambs and then saw the blank canvas barn, being able to make it our own, not to mention the quaint chapel, Lake and gazebo, that we had to have it. The day was perfect, we dressed with fairy lights draping and bunting with help of Mcgees and added garden games and sweet cart thanks to Applewood entertainment and added other finishing touches like rustic Love letters next to dance floor and photo booth both hired from 1st class photography who. Also carried out the wonderful photography. Linda and Robin went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. Our guests complimented the venue endlessly throughout the day, not to mention the amazing food, from canopies, wedding breakfast and smoke shack all provided by Waterfall catering, namely Christopher Binks . To sum it up it was the most idyllic, relaxed and happiest day of our lives and Furtho played one of the biggest parts in this so thank you! XThis was the first venue we viewed and. What a perfect place for a wedding! We had the most amazing day and the site is quite literally a blank canvass- no two weddings are the same. Linda and Robin were great, being really accommodating and understanding and quite a few of our guests have asked for details about the venue as they're considering having their own wedding there. Such a perfect day, in such a perfect place- you definitely won't regret having your wedding here.What a perfect place for a wedding! Amazing venue would recommend Amazing venue would recommend
Perfect venue regardless of the weather. Fortunately for us the rain stopped before our ceremony but they couldn't do enough to help us make a decision beforehand so arrangements could be made last minute if necessary. We stayed the night before and ate out locally, breakfast was provided on the morning of the ceremony and it was delicious. We would definitely recommend furtho for making our day so specialPerfect venue regardless of the weather. We had our wedding at Furtho back in September 2018, despite the less than favourable weather we had a fantastic day, truly the best and most memorable days of our lives. Picking a venue was an easy choice for us as we immediately fell in love with Furtho after seeing only 1 other place. We wanted a rustic/country style wedding which we could own and personalise as we wished and the venue is perfectly set up for It. The barn is finished really well and a great size, lovely pagoda on the lake but best of all is the beautiful little church on site. All of this is set in the stunning picturesque countryside giving you some fantastic picture opportunities. Linda and Robin were brilliant hosts, really helpful & supportive throughout, answering our many questions and provided a recommended list of suppliers which really helped. One of our favourite things about Furtho was the opportunity to personalise everything which given the size of the venue and starting off as a completely blank canvas can be daunting, but well worth the investment if you want that unique wedding and willing to dedicate time to it. The perfect diy venue The perfect diy venue
We loved furtho from when we first visited- it was the only venue we needed to see. We really enjoyed having it for the three day lead up to the wedding, being able to be creative and hire in anything and everything we wanted. Linda and robin, the owners were so so helpful and we are really greatful to them for sharing their experiences of past weddings and helping out when we needed them. It was an added bonus that we we were able to have the bnb rooms as part of the package and the ability to let people camp over. Furtho farm is a great rural venue. We highly reccomend it. We loved furtho from when we first visited- it was the only venue we needed to see. The best day ever! The best day ever!
This venue is amazing. It was a beautiful place and we had plenty of time for setting up and viewings etc. They have lots of suppliers that are used often at their venue which helped with the stress of planning! The owners are wonderful and so helpful! We also stayed there the night of the wedding and the rooms are lovely and comfortable! Would definitely recommend this venue to couples!!!! This venue is amazing. It was a beautiful place and we had plenty of time for setting up and viewings etc. They have lots of suppliers that are used often at their venue which helped with the stress of planning! We had a wonderful wedding at Furtho in May this year. The venue is superb, so conveniently close to Milton Keynes and the main A508 road but located in a beautiful countryside setting. We absolutely love the environment the venue offers with the historic church, dovecote and lake. We booked our wedding a few years before the special day, and were thrilled with the improvements Linda and Robin had made to the venue during this time. The additional of the gazebo on the lake added a really special touch. The service from the couple was also perfect, offering support where we needed including offering supplier recommendations. They were also helpful in the set up and pack down offering support in this. It was also a big convenience (unlike many other venues) that they only host 1 wedding a week so it gave us the flexibility of being able take our time with the set up if needed. Lastly we loved the big blank canvas that this venue offered, you can make your day truly unique by bringing in all your own suppliers and choosing all the smaller details yourself. I love the fact that every wedding at Furtho is unique and people can create there own day. Only one wedding a weekend takes place at Furtho so you can have the barn from the Thursday before your wedding so you have lots of time to set up.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Plan before hand so on the day you can relax enjoy your day. Oh yes and don't over cater for food.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

This is just too hard to answer - I love each wedding is different at Furtho and it just has to be how the couple want it. Some spend ages doing all the little touches others have it very simple. I do not think one is better than the other just depends what you prefer.

Photos in front of the Farmhouse, next to Furtho Dovecote, outside St Bartholomew's Church , Furtho, during the summer photo's in the corn or grass field, photo's down the farm drive or photos by the lake. It is your choice !

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Nestled in the middle of our Farm is St Bartholomews, Church. This little gem is now looked after very well by the Church Conservation Trust and is available for a limited number of blessings each year.

In lots of our reviews Furtho is called a hidden gem and couples like that nothing is too much trouble for us.
