From 2022 our availability is for select Thursdays and Saturdays April-October. Venue hire includes exclusive use, access the day before to set up, your own corkage-free drinks for your wedding breakfast, all furniture/furnishings, a bride's dressing room, a stocked and staffed bar and full team for you on the day and many more benefits. We work with partner caterers who have lots of options and will quote for you separately.

The rooms for the bridal party to get ready in were perfect and stylish and had more than enough room for myself and about 10 other people. We needed hardly any decorations as the manor speaks for itself. The venue manager and staff are incredible and helped throughout the day to make sure everything ran smoothly and prior to our day any questions we had were answered efficiently and with care and we were allowed to pop back to the venue to have more time to look around and plan our big day. The grounds are also beautiful and perfect for photos. Honestly could not have asked for a more special day. Highly recommended!The venue is absolutely stunning for the ceremony and reception. From our initial meeting with Emma and Mark, who have lovingly restored the beautiful venue, the staff on the day, and special thanks to John who made the day run smoothly, we cannot fault it. The venue itself is stunning and the manor feels like your own for the day. All our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and the staff were friendly and helpful. This is the only venue i know where you can go in the day before to set up rather than rushing to do it on the morning, they do not do 'conveyer belt weddings' like most venues which really adds a personal touch. The whole day ran smoothly, me and my bridesmaids got ready in the gorgeous bridal dressing room. I even found out from a guest that a member of the bar staff made a special trip out to get his favorite cider behind the bar for him! They really cannot do enough for you and when you go to collect your stuff the next day it's all boxed up ready to go. Cannot recommend this venue enough!Absolutely fell in love with the manor as a venue and Emma and Mark made it feel like home for the day. There is so much space to enjoy, so many wonderful features it's all so beautiful! All the staff were brilliant, warm and welcoming and always helpful. The children ran free in the garden, the older guest chatted and relaxed in the library and we danced the evening away in the beautiful garden Room! All our guests couldn't stop telling us what an amazing venue we had chosen and how it was the best wedding they had been to! We would definitely recommend Gildredge Manor as the setting for the perfect Wedding! 💞We had our wedding here in June this year and the venue most definitely made the whole day! The venue is gorgeous inside and out, we loved the different rooms you could use rather than one big room that you stayed in all day. It was so helpful that they could suggest people for the wedding breakfast, photographers etc as there's so much choice and having their recommendations really helped. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
They're all lovely and different! The most unusual was probably the murder mystery wedding... roving actors and a crime to solve! A great way to entertain and join people. It was all themed with ghoulish, gothic props.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
You can't keep everyone happy all the time. Take everyone's views and advice on board but sift out what's just not for you. Relax, make lists, don't spend money on unnecessary things and remember - it's YOUR day!!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Pet dogs coming along with rings or just for photos!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
So many! We are set in a beautiful park and in our garden and around the house there are dozens of wonderful backdrops and settings. The good news for the unpredictable British weather is that there are loads of wonderful places and lots of light inside for fabulous photos even if the weather doesn't behave.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Several but we are too discreet to show off about that although many many years ago Queen Mary visited "us" :-)
What’s your favourite canapé?
The classic smoked salmon blini but perfectly made!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Cheese & biscuits with onion marmalade relish!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Many beautiful rooms - Library, Long Gallery, Garden room, Double Drawing Rooms, Ladies' Morning room, Games room, as well as lovely gardens set in a wonderful park. Very intimate, personal and private, whilst very easy to access from the seafront and town centre (station, etc.)
What part of your business are you most proud of?
This landmark house was restored from total dereliction in 2012. We keep our weddings exclusive and offer a very personal service. The venue is totally unique in the area and we have now hosted over 200 wonderful weddings with fantastic feedback and reviews.
