Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
All of our weddings have been so different and amazing but one that stands out was a wedding based on the brides love of books. It was absolutely incredible and made our library such an intimate part of their day. Holdenby lends itself so well to all styles and the staff worked tirelessly to make sure each day comes alive.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make sure you have 10 minutes to yourselves! Sneak away into our gardens for that secret moment and enjoy the fact that you have just married your best friend. Your guests will be enjoying themselves so this moment is just for the two of you.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We have had so many lovely personal touches but one of our favourites was personalised Christmas cards for each of their guests from one of our incredible winter weddings.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Holdenby is a photographers dream. Both the gardens and house lend themselves for the most magical photos. In the winter Holdenby hosts a wonderful crisp feel, from the trees to the fires in the library and in the spring and summer you are swept away to the gardens and open grounds that soak up the summer sun.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We work incredibly hard to make sure Holdenby feels like your home for the day. We collect food from our own garden to go into your wedding meal so you can share a piece of Holdenby with all of your guests. We also have photo frames for you to fill with your own family pictures for us to place around the house.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Holdenby has an excellent team. We work tirelessly to make sure your day is truly yours.
