Conveniently located on the outskirts of the town, our attractive grounds make for a pleasant backdrop for your photographs.
Convenient road links make our hotel easy to find. There is plentiful free parking for your guests and preferential bedroom rates are available for those travelling from further afield. Our resourceful and accommodating team of events staff at the Washington hotel can help you build the perfect package for your big day.
The Rooms: We have our beautiful Beamish Suite which holds maximum of 72 days guests and 110 evening guests.
For your more bigger celebrations we can cater for maximum of 110 day guests and 150 evening guests in our Restaurant.

Right the way through our journey from booking the wedding to the morning after they were accommodating, friendly and professional. Sianne was our main contact and she made everything very easy and went through everything which needed to be done step by step as me and my husband had no idea where to start planning a wedding. She was so amazing working round our schedules as we work long and opposite hours to each other. We are always welcomed by every staff member and offered tea or coffee when we sat down, nothing was ever too much. She was always available and I knew that if I sent her an email I would get a response quickly which makes everything one thousand times easier when you're trying to get organised. She typed out our meetings perfectly and sent us a copy through the post after a couple of days of meeting with us. She worked with us when I wanted to stay in the hotel the night before and even swapped our rooms a few days before to a room which suited us better for what we needed. The venue was so warm and clean and decorated amazingly for our wedding and the staff who took charge of this asked our opinion before allowing guests back into the room. It was perfect but if I had wanted to change anything, it would not have been a problem. We had a few last minute cancellations as well and Chris, our master of ceremony, just made it seem so simple to cancel meals and rearrange the seating plan as people were sitting down to eat. The food was divine. I was so impressed with the effort and the presentation of each of our courses as well as the buffet and sweetie cart in the evening. They literally took care of everything. It was affordable and well worth every penny and more. I honestly can't put into words how much every member of staff made a difference in our wedding day. From first booking the wedding 15 months prior to checking out the day after everything was just perfect. We had regular meetings with our wedding planner (Sianne) who gave us a lot of help and advice as at the start we weren't really sure what we wanted, nothing was too much trouble to her even though we changed our minds at every meeting. We decided on afternoon tea which was served on tea stands and shabby chic crockery which the hotel provided, as the wedding was late afternoon. We had a buffet early evening, then hot beef sandwiches late evening, all the food was top quality and plenty of it. We had the use of 2 rooms on the day and the setups were excellent, the attention to detail was amazing. The grounds of the hotel looked stunning which showed in our photographs. On the day everyone starting from the reception staff, the wedding planner, the master of ceremony, the waiters/ waitresses, bar staff (day & night) the hotel DJ and the Hotel General Manager ensured everything was perfect and exactly what we required. A lot of our guests also stayed at the hotel overnight and were thoroughly impressed with the standard of the rooms and the service they received. The rooms were clean and tidy with crisp white linen and towels. Excellent value for money for wedding guests with a fantastic all you can eat buffet breakfast inclusive of cost for room at a reduced rate on wedding booking. The room was set out beautiful for the ceremony, the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. The staff was always on hand and looked after us extremely well, especially Natalie who looked after us from start to finish on the day. The wedding breakfast was absolutely beautiful, the food was top quality and was cooked and presented to such a high standard. I was unable to eat the evening Buffett due to having surgery so the chef made me a separate meal. They really went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely day. It was a truly magical day I just wish we could do it all again. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
The most emotional wedding for me at Holiday Inn Washington was a couple that I had being seeing for over 2 year. Both Bride and Groom getting excited every step of the way. Then the Husband takes ill unsuspectingly. The wedding was really touch and go and one point, But he was one hell of a fighter and made sure he got down that aisle for his beautiful bride. They touched me that much I had to have them both in our new wedding brochure. They were such a inspirational couple xx
