We provide a 3 day hire which allows our couples quality time to enjoy with their friends and family. Whether you are looking for relaxed street food vibe or a formal sit down meal, we can discuss the options available and sign post you to the hand picked suppliers that can help you create your day your way. With lots of stunning open space and an outdoor ceremony area overlooking our lake, you really will feel as though you have escaped to the country. Long Furlong what a venue! Carmel and Ali are the most welcoming owners and from the very beginning they really help you feel at home at the venue. It's a totally blank canvas that you get for 3 days to style yourself and make your own, which can really make a difference as theres so much you can do! Living in Northamptonshire, I am regularly blown away by the views of rolling hills and picturesque waters that I am lucky enough to be surrounded by. Hidden between the fields you often find a gem that makes you love the county just a little bit more. When I was introduced to Long Furlong Farm it really did feel like I had found a gem, I was left in absolute wonderment at the beauty surrounding this venue, the perfect backdrop for a festival wedding – well, it’s actually the perfect backdrop for any wedding. I didn’t feel like it was possible to be in love with this venue any more, then I met the owners Ali & Carmel – two human beings who have kindness, happiness and passion radiating from them. Ali was actually born at Long Furlong Farm, so it feels like the perfect love story that he went on to marry the beautiful Carmel there, and now together they host many other love stories there. The couple devoted and invested everything they could in to turning their vision for the venue in to a reality. In the summer of 2018, Ali & Carmel were the first couple to wed at Long Furlong Farm, and ever since there have been many happy couples following. Ali & Carmel are continuously looking for ways to develop and evolve their venue, the love and dedication that they have for what they do is very clear. Long Furlong Farm is a high-quality canvas that allows you to paint your dream wedding on; whilst having the support of two individuals that will go above and beyond to ensure your day is perfect. We held our Reception at the farm in June 2019 and could not have been happier. Our day was truly amazing from start to finish. Having the venue the day before really helped us, we had time to decorate and add our personal touches to an already beautiful space. Luckily we didn’t have too much rain but when it did rain there was plenty of space inside for our guests. The flexibility of being able to use our chosen suppliers made it very personal. Becky was great, coordinating their arrivals and the rest of the days timings so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Taste did a fantastic job, we opted for a street food style catering which was set up outside for all of our guests to enjoy at their leisure. One of the things we found when looking around venues was that they were quite restrictive. We hadn’t expected this. But most came with conditions such as we had to go with their preferred caterers or the party would have to end up 11pm (no chance)! One day Lau’s boss (and friend) at work asked how it was going and she mentioned we couldn’t find a venue that was right for us. She said in passing that some friends of hers were in the process of making their farm into a wedding venue. She warned that it wasn’t anywhere near ready but arranged for us to look around. When we arrived we were met by a friendly and enthusiastic duo – Carmel and Ali. Much of the land was still in the process of being dug up so they could lay new ground etc and the barn was just still a tractor barn. Despite this, there was something about the farm and them that just sold us straight away. We were blown away by their vision and the amount of work they’d already put into the project together. They also showed so much interest and excitement about our plans. This is something that we feel is really rare in the world of weddings. We weren’t just another couple or booking to them. They cared about us and wanted to know all about our story. We genuinely don’t think this is because we were their first official booking and the process is new to them. I can imagine them being the same for every couple that visit, book and plan their wedding at the farm. Simply because of the type of people they are. They have since said to us that they can’t believe the vision and trust we had to book our wedding with them when the farm was still in the middle stages of renovating – field dug up etc. But we think it’s about them more than us, we trusted they would do what they said and they did. We knew they were working from the most beautiful countryside canvas surrounded by hills, green fields and natural beauty. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

The best wedding would have to be ours! But thats only because without that, we would not be here helping other couples plan theirs too.

We set Long Furlong Farm venue up for our own wedding in July 2018.

(Although now we have enhanced the venue and met some amazing suppliers - we are planning to do it all again in 2023!)

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Keep it all about the two of you - choose the venue you want, with the food & drink you want, the guests you want - its so easy to get totally overwhelmed, but if you don't put out a sign saying "choose a seat - not a side" no one will know or notice (trust us!)

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We love seeing all the different personal touches that our couples have incorporated into their day, our venue is the perfect place for them to do this.

Whether its from home (house plants, furniture, cushions, signs) or something that reminds them of a holiday (food, cocktails or music) its all about the personal touches which make it unique and special

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

We have placed a bench at the highest point of our farm, overlooking the barn and open countryside. We had our photos taken in this spot and encourage all our couples to have some time out to themselves (and their photographer) to reflect on the day - and get some amazing photos!

Not yet!

What’s your favourite canapé?

Anything with cheese

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Seeing the stars and trying to work out the formations.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Long Furlong Farm's most unique feature is (ironically) that it can be keep being made unique with every wedding and event.

By couples having the freedom to choose their own styling, furniture, entertainment, personal touches and caterers - no two weddings will ever look the same.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our partnership - setting the venue up for our own wedding was a challenge (especially within the 9 months that we gave ourselves to do it!)

We have since overcome many other challenges to make the venue available for other couples to enjoy and we get to work together every day, doing this.
