Great setting, superb photo opportunities by the canal, good outdoor space, the ceremony room is wide and has light from the front right corner (which makes a big difference to me...) and the staff are professional and happy. Katie is one of the best wedding co-ordinators I know. She is focused and has an eye for detail that ensures every wedding goes to plan and that everyone has a great time. It's a fantastic venue, with loads of different backdrops to get great photographs, and just as important, the staff are great nothing is too much trouble, and as a photographer they work with you, nothing is too much trouble!I love it when I'm chosen to photograph weddings at The Longlands. What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My biggest tip for brides and grooms is BUDGET BUDGET BUDGET. Even for the couples who have access to bigger budgets than the average you can still be hit with hidden costs from suppliers that they don't mention on booking, its naughty but its done very often. Make sure you get a full quote before paying any deposits.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
As a pet friendly venue we love it when couples invite their pets (most usually dogs) to take part in their special days, after all they day is about you and your family!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The Lancaster canal which we are situtated on offers fantastic picture perfect spots.

What is your venue's most unique feature?
We have a beautiful attached marquee to our function room which is perfect for arrival drinks and canapes to be enjoyed.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We are a family run business (which we have won awards for) so we pride ourselves on giving a personal touch to each day.
