We understand that no two couples are the same and that’s why no two weddings should be the same. Weddings at Inchyra are exclusive - there will be nothing else happening here for the duration of your wedding and your wedding is the centre of our attention. You will be able to take advantage of the endless options that we have available to help you bring your dreams to reality, from an outside ceremony to cosy on-site accommodation to our Decorating Store to partying through the night - at Inchyra pretty much anything is a possibility. The Byre itself is a wonderfully picturesque converted cattle barn, bursting with original features. And although it is essentially a big square space, different areas and levels within mean that it is exceptionally flexible and will happily accommodate weddings from 50 to 160 people, with the ceremony, reception, wedding breakfast and party all comfortably catered for. The Byre boasts original stonework walls and exposed wooden beams and the easily accessible roof beams mean that it is easy to hang decorations giving a wealth of stunning possibilities for flowers, foliage and lighting. The intimate and chapel-like Stable Room can seat up to 110 guests to see you say ‘I do’, enveloped in the wooden beams and old brick and stone walls of the original stables. Or, if you have more guests, you can let your imagination run riot in the Lower Byre area where a wealth of possible settings are available for larger ceremonies. Or maybe take the ceremony outside to one of the many options we can offer - perhaps on the Byre Lawn, maybe the sweeping lawn in front of Inchyra House itself, or the magical Walled Garden with the fabulously romantic Apple Tree Aisle. The choice is yours. Our venue hire includes everything that every wedding needs up to the point where you start to make it individual through your choice of decoration, food, drink, entertainment - so we include dining furniture, cake stand, a fully fitted catering kitchen, luxury loos, heating, amazing event lighting, sound systems, mics for speeches, a fully fitted bar, staging for your band, and a beautiful vintage disco ball! We also have stunning external lighting with floodlit trees, festoon lighting, fairy lights right around the Byre itself. Most weddings at Inchyra run over three days but we also offer one day midweek bookings. With options from one day to a premium three day weekend, there's something at Inchyra to suit a wide range of budgets. We've made sure the Byre is a pretty push-button venue, ready and waiting for you to come in and weave some magic!

We are proud to offer you a choice of six outstanding event caterers for your wedding at Inchyra. We advise our couples to budget from £45/50 per head to include canapes, a three-course wedding breakfast and an evening buffet. Obviously, the sky's the limit in terms of what you could serve to your guests and budgets can be in excess of £100 per head for some menus. Most weddings at Inchyra are in the £50-70/head range.

It’s actually quite hard to apply superlatives where so many have gone before, and even harder to deny the love and the dedication and the sheer commitment that has gone into crafting this utterly sublime venue. But just as buildings have personalities, owners do too. The Byre at Inchyra isn’t just a place. Or a space. It’s the living, breathing, ever improving, brought to life vision of Caroline and James and Tim. I remember the first ever wedding at The Byre at Inchyra. It was a beautiful day and we were the caterers. Caroline was nervous. I was nervous. So much energy poured into the first of so many beautiful celebrations to come. Yet it was two quiet moments that I remember the most: a tear rolling down Caroline’s face as she silently watched Pyrus weave their wild botanical mastery in the Walled Garden and, later, James - in the moments before the guests were seated for dinner - lighting every single candle - miles of them - so that when the curtains pulled back, the most magical candlelit space was revealed. Dedication. Joy in the detail. No job to small. We are proud beyond belief to be part of the Inchyra ‘experience’. We feel valued by a team that has put thought into what suppliers might need to deliver the biggest dinner party that couples are ever likely to throw. We have a beautiful kitchen to work in and it is surely a fact that being valued and being respected as part of the Inchyra team enables us to do the best that we can for our couples. I reach the end realising that I haven’t really detailed the ‘stuff’ - the beautifully hand made scandi-styled wooden trestles that are wider than the norm and perfect for feasting; the wonderfully atmospheric lighting that makes the detail pop; the walled garden; the grounds; the ceremony stable room that reduces me to tears more often than not because it is just so beautiful; the quite amazing Aladdin’s cave of props; the candelabras. And the willow tree. And the really cool toilets. The stone walls and the wooden barrels that become beautiful backdrops for our food, and for florals, and for amazing styling. The “stuff’ is the ‘stuff’ of dreams. But it is the heart of Inchyra that speaks the loudest. You’ll sense it when you walk through the doors. The Walled Garden is a firm favourite with our couples and we adore the rustic charm of the Byre itself.
