Nettlestead Place is a medieval manor listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 set in the heart of Kent. It has for centuries staged lavish celebrations and is now exclusively available for weddings and other celebrations. The 14th century gatehouse stands to the west of the manor at the start of the private drive and is an impressive entrance for the bridal party. St Mary's Church is the neighbouring church and just a 5 minute walk to Nettlestead Place. Nettlestead Place offers an exclusive unique English country setting with award winning gardens, striking medieval manor, a location that is genuinely a perfect wedding venue. The manor is steeped in history and is still a family home but it can be exclusively used for weddings. It is a true gem of a venue! The 13th century Undercroft is a truly unique location for wedding ceremonies and is characterised by 3 medieval pillars. An historic and striking setting for such an important occasion. The Undercroft can seat up to 120 guests. The stunning Rose Garden is the setting for outdoor ceremonies, with a wooden Gazebo sitting at the base of a large lime tree. The aromas and the beauty of the rose garden make this a truly romantic setting. After the wedding ceremony guests can enjoy champagne and canapes on the broad terraces overlooking the manors sunken pond. The celebrations can continue as guests can wander through the idyllic gardens, famous throughout Europe, across manicured lawns, paths and water features, surveying the beautiful Kent countryside on their way to the wedding marquee.

Nettlestead Place is just amazingNettlestead Place is just amazing
Nettlestead Place is just amazing! We fell in love with it as soon as we saw the pictures of it then when we went to view it, we both just knew no where else would do. The house, the gardens, the setting is all just beautiful and Sharon the wedding co-ordinator was a god send and became a friend, she is so professional and kind. I can hand on heart say Nettlestead Place is my favourite place and would recommend it time and time again ! The food was gorgeous too. Our guests all said how wonderful every aspect of the day was and I truly believe Nettlestead is a special place for sure!Nettlestead Place is just amazing! We fell in love with it as soon as we saw the pictures of it then when we went to view it, we both just knew no where else would do. The house, the gardens, the setting is all just beautiful and Sharon the wedding co-ordinator was a god send and became a friend, she is so professional and kind. As soon as we found Nettlestead Place and saw it for ourselves, we knew we wanted to have our wedding reception here! It is such a special and tranquil place with the most beautiful gardens, which our guests enjoyed exploring during the day. We loved the way it had both formal gardens, such as the rose garden, and more informal parts - we particularly loved all the wildflowers, which fitted in with our theme beautifully! Sharon was such a pleasure to work with and was a calm presence in the run-up to the wedding, helping us to shape our wedding to suit what we wanted, even down to the ceilidh in the evening! Annabel and Roy made us feel very much at home and provided us with a lovely breakfast in the morning. Kathleen and Vine Events produced delicious food which all of our guests commented on and looked after our guests so wonderfully on the day itself. We had such a special day: Nettlestead looked beautiful in the sunshine and we can't recommend Nettlestead Place enough. We didn't want to leave! As soon as we found Nettlestead Place and saw it for ourselves, we knew we wanted to have our wedding reception here! Wow. Where do we start, Nettlestead Place was the perfect venue for our wedding, we fell in love with the beautiful house and stunning grounds as soon as we arrived to look round. We chose to get married in The Undercroft, despite the availability of the lovely rose garden, as The Undercroft has such a unique feeling about it, slightly medieval but romantic and cosy at the same time. We had the fire lit for our ceremony which made it feel even cosier, despite having 100 guests, it felt like a small and intimate ceremony, as well as smelling absolutely gorgeous! The Marquee was by far the nicest of all marquees that we had seen, and has some great options for customisation. We opted to have a curtain between the main section and the dance floor, and then the star lit ceiling. All of our guests commented on how much space there was and how pretty the marquee looked when the dance floor was revealed. We cannot fault the venue caterers, they worked with us to meet any special requests and were flexible around menu choices and drinks packages. The food was superb and quite frankly excellent value for money! It rained during the afternoon, and the caterers swiftly moved our canapes and guests inside with no fuss! We hired the beautiful and spacious bridal suite for the morning and night of our wedding, and it really made the day run smoothly, enabling our wedding party to have a base to access anything they needed! Sharon and her team supported all of our ideas from day one, we didn't feel pressured into choosing any of the available options, and she had some great ideas to help us make our day even more special. We can't put into word how grateful we are to Nettlestead Place, Sharon and her team and The Vines catering team who worked hard to make our day amazing. Our family and friends loved our venue, loved the food and most importantly we felt relaxed knowing that we were in good hands, and that on the day everything would be taken care of. Simply a wonderful experience planning our day with such a great team. Lastly a huge thank you to Annabel and Roy for letting us use their beautiful home for our special day.Wow. We were so glad to find Nettlestead Place, it was our dream venue! We couldn’t have asked for a better day! Sharon and the team at The Vine were amazing, they made sure the day ran smoothly from start to finish. Leading up to the wedding was a very enjoyable experience too, Sharon and Kathleen (from the Vine) made sure that they always kept in contact with me and I felt at ease! Overall, the whole day was perfect we feel so lucky that we were able to get married there. If anyone was to ask me where to get married, I would have no doubt in saying Nettlestead! It was simply Beautiful. We were so glad to find Nettlestead Place, it was our dream venue! We couldn’t have asked for a better day!
