When booking with Nymans, you can host both your ceremony and post-ceremony drinks & canape reception into the late afternoon with them before moving on for your evening celebrations if you wish.
Licensed to hold wedding ceremonies beneath their soaring arches of their Loggia within the Sunk Garden, you can say ‘I do’ to the person you love at an intimate ceremony, surrounded by rose clad walls and beautiful scenery. After your ceremony, you can relax on the lawns with your loved ones and take in the beautiful views while you capture some unforgettable wedding photos.
One of the benefits of hosting your wedding ceremony in such a unique location such as Nymans is the flexibility to create a completely bespoke day. Whilst perfect for an intimate affair, you could also potentially have an unlimited number of guests seated in the Sunk Garden's secluded lawns. With your dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator on hand to help you with every step of the way, the limit to a wedding at Nymans really is your imagination.

Hello brides! If you are looking for a picturesque, unique, outdoor venue for your wedding ceremony look no further than Nymans.
We are delighted to offer our romantic Loggia for licensed wedding ceremonies and we currently have some good 2019 availability.
Our Sunk Garden is the perfect location to hold a drinks and canapé reception after your celebration - before heading off elsewhere for the evening if you wish. Drinks and canapés can be provided by you - or I can recommend a cater.

- LLaura & Gavin15/11/2018It feels so much more special than any other venueIt feels so much more special than any other venueWe held our ceremony in August 2018 in the beautiful Sunk Garden at Nymans, The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the National Trust site feels so much more special than any other venue we looked at in Sussex. Sophie was absolutely fantastic from the moment we first showed interest in Nymans through to the hug and well wishes she gave us as we left on our way to the reception. Having Sophie was like having our own personal wedding planner. She is passionate, knowledgeable and ensured our day ran without a hitch! With 7 years experience working at Nymans I felt completely safe in her hands. Firstly working with Sophie was a huge weight off of our shoulders. Not only is she lovely to work with she was also helpful, organised and patient with all of our queries during the year of planning to accommodate to our needs. The staff at Nymans were also very kind and helpful to us in the days leading up to the wedding as well as on the day. The location itself, not just as a venue for the ceremony, is just breathtaking with the beautiful gardens and being surrounded in nature. Then you have the stunning architecture of the old building and the walls around the grounds. You will be spoilt for choice on where to take photographs, that is for sure. We were also blessed with the beautiful British sunshine on the day, that combined with the amazing staff at Nymans, overall we would not change a thing about our wedding. Lastly, it also meant much more that we were contributing towards a National Trust garden, especially with it being such a naturally stunning place, it feels good to contribute to its preservation. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Every wedding at Nymans is totally unique and therefore it is impossible to choose the best. However, those that are full of personal touches always stick in my mind.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book your registrar as soon as you've secured your venue. They get booked up years in advance and you want to make sure you can hold your ceremony at the time you wish rather than having to fit around their availability.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
I love a singalong at a wedding! One couple this year asked their guests to sing 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' as part of their wedding ceremony and it sounded fantastic - and made for a really memorable service.

Yes but I am sworn to secrecy.

Smoked salmon blini - classic!

What is your venue's most unique feature?
Getting married in a National Trust garden means that you can always re-visit the exact spot where you said your vows at any time of the year without the need to make an appointment. I have seen couples return throughout the seasons and enjoy picnics with their children in the place they got married and it is amazing to see.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The flexibility we offer. If you want a ceremony for 20 or 220, we can accommodate you. Want to supply your own canapes? Totally fine. We don't charge a corkage fee for bringing in your own drinks either.
