Prestwold Hall is a Grade I listed stately home in the heart of Leicestershire Wolds. Choosing Prestwold Hall as your wedding venue will see your unique personalities reflected at every turn, from your declarations of love during the wedding ceremony, to your drinks in our formal gardens, and finishing the evening dancing the night away in the house. Each and every one of the weddings we host are customised to your personal taste.
At Prestwold Hall, we have three elegant locations to say I do - in our library, outside in our formal gardens or in our Church located just 100 yards from our front door. Whichever you decide to choose, the elegant rooms and rose garden will provide a distinctive backdrop to your wedding. You will also have free reign of Head Chef, Marcus Lockwood’s culinary expertise to help create the daytime menu you most desire, whether entirely of your own design, or from the carefully curated menu selections.

They are the kindest, sweetest and most caring group of people I have ever met. Myself and my husband cannot express how exceptional they are. They whole team treat you as if you are the most important person, they take the effort and stress away from they day, they are always there to hear you worries and respond instantly. Our guest said it was the best wedding they have been to, mainly because of Prestwold! The rooms are gorgeous, the whole team are faultless, the food is out of this world and the venue is completely breathtaking. Please stop and take a look at Prestwold you will certainly not regret it! Thank you Prestwold for not only giving me the day of my dreams but memories that will last a lifetime. The girls that looked after us on the day were fantastic and made sure we had the best day. The venue is beautiful and the food was incredible. So many guests have reached out to us to comment on the amazing experience they had and how helpful all the team were. If we could do it all again we would. What can I say! The team at Prestwold go out of their way to be helpful, and I felt like I didn't have to lift a finger as they were on hand to help with everything. The venue is stunning and had the perfect, ‘classic’ feel we were looking for. The food was incredibly important for us as we could see that the quality of food at this venue was excellent. The welcoming friendliness of the staff was what made our decision final. We wanted our wedding reception at Prestwold! We especially loved the well kept ‘untouched’ historic beauty of the venue, the views, the quietness as you drive up to Prestwold, the fire places and the relaxed, positive feeling the kind staff gave you as you entered. Lucy was a star in responding to my email requests and managing the itinerary. MJ was superb during the food tasting event and on the day before the wedding when she ran through the itinerary with us. Having the team on hand took so much of the wedding stress away and the hall was set up perfectly. All the guests commented on how good the food was and everything ran smoothly thanks to the brilliant staff. The grounds are extremely well cared for by a dedicated gardening team and the internal accommodation is beautiful. The hall is managed by a small professional team of staff who are caring, patient and very proficient. You feel in very safe hands as MJ , Lucy and Rhianna are very attentive and responsive to your ideas/requests. The dining options are extensive and the quality of the food is of top restaurant quality. I would recommend without reservation.Prestwold Hall is a stunning venue. What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
An idea that we always love, is when our couples share and frame their most cherished family photos. This adds a lovely personal touch and truly makes the venue feel like yours.
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The most popular photo spots at our venue would have to be the orangery and our formal gardens. Beautiful in all seasons, whether is in the summer sun or the crisp winter frost.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Most definitely, as Prestwold Hall is only available for exclusive hire, your seclusion and privacy is guaranteed.
What’s your favourite canapé?
A question too difficult to answer, one of our most popular would have to be the Duck pastrami & plum ‘open sandwich’ from our Contemporary canape menu. Each of our couples get to experience our Head Chef, Marcus Lockwood’s culinary expertise on our tasting events. Marcus will carefully create a tasting menu which makes those all important decisions about your wedding breakfast and the best wine pairings a little more easier.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The most unique feature at Prestwold Hall is the hand painted marble found in our front hall, inner hall and passage. Buckingham Palace had the same renowned plaster work but was covered over in earlier years, now our venue is one of the largest example of its kind found in the UK.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Without a doubt we would have to say our team! When looking for your dream venue, the people who are going to be part of your wedding planning journey are just as important as the venue itself. Are they welcoming and friendly? Are they willing to help answer all your questions, big and small? And are they willing to make your craziest ideas a reality? Our team are.
