Situated at the heart of the World Heritage site, the Roman Baths and Pump Room was voted Best Historic Wedding Venue in the 2017 UK Wedding Awards and has won gold for the last two years running for best venue in the Bristol, Bath & Somerset Tourism Awards. It is without doubt one of the most distinctive and unique buildings in the country. Not only is there nothing like it in the world, it also provides a fantastic opportunity to be married in the open air but remain under cover, safe from the unpredictable British weather. What could be more romantic than exchanging your vows next to the torchlit, steaming waters of the Great Bath in one of our Sunrise or Sunset ceremonies?
The Great Bath is continuously filled with hot flowing water which rises up bubbling from deep underground, warmed by the heat of the earth’s
core. Surrounding this bath is 2000 year old paving, where couples can exchange their vows amid the flickering torchlight and rising steam. Beyond the classical statues on the Terrace above, Bath Abbey will be illuminated whilst guests can gather and enjoy a stunning and atmospheric wedding.
The grand Pump Room, built in the 1790s was the focal point of Georgian society and Jane Austen observed people and fashions from within the building. This elegant room is a perfect location to continue celebrations, with a seated wedding breakfast and dancing. There is a choice of rooms, and the venue can cater for intimate groups as well as much larger wedding parties for up to 200 guests.

Christine was exceptional in the organisation and planning of the wedding - and then on the day Maisie was just wonderful - she made it all so easy and understandable - both are such incredible assets to your team.The catering was also exceptional - from Carolyn running me through the booking process to the team on the day who were utterly fantastic! Everyone made our wedding absolutely perfect!!Everything about holding our wedding here was perfect! Roman Bath and Pump room is a world famous attraction and also the most inconic place in Bath center, so it was the place we looked at for our wedding venue. The venue speaks to itself and their service is absolutely A class, very friendly very thoughtful and very professional. For us, it is the BEST wedding venue in the UK, without any doubt.We are a couple from China, we used to be students of Bath University therefore coming back for our wedding means a lot to us. The professionalism of from the staff from concept to execution was second to none with a full understanding of our theme and exemplory choreography. Despite the formality of the setting and the occasion, the staff were relaxed, approachable and became good friends. The location is stunning, the staff were very professional, friendly and accommodating, and the venue and catering organisation operated seamlessly in the run up to our big day. With a location like the Roman Baths you and your guests can't help but be impressed - our photos of the evening look stunning. Otto, the event manager, was excellent and made a good evening even better!The Roman Baths were a perfect venue for our wedding. The location is stunning, the staff were very professional, friendly and accommodating, and the venue and catering organisation operated seamlessly in the run up to our big day. The venue is amazing, the food was delicious and we had a wonderful night.
