I've had to put 3 stars as a couple of things didn't go according to plan on the day mix up with the food, and they double booked my room I paid for. Overall though I did have a great day with my husband, family and friends. Wedding at The St Ives Harbour Hotel & SpaWedding at The St Ives Harbour Hotel & Spa
We got married here on 18th June 2018 and also spent 2 nights at the hotel. Firstly the stay; The room we stayed in was lovely, we had a large room with a lounge area and a bedroom, the bed was huge and very comfortable and the view from the balcony was stunning, breakfast was nice (a little on the small side) and again the view from the breakfast room was beautiful. Our wedding could not have gone any better, from the minute I emailed the first enquiry over to Dominique right until midnight on our wedding day things ran perfectly. I dealt mainly with Dominique who I can not praise enough, very friendly, professional and helpful with a lovely calm manor which is good when you are stressed about your wedding, nothing was too much trouble. Due to the fact we live over 250 miles away from the hotel a lot of our communication was done via email and these were always answered promptly and thoroughly. The day itself ran perfect, thanks to Dominique, Sydney and Will (I'm sure along with an army of other people who we didn't meet) we didn't have to do anything or worry about anything we were free to enjoy our day whilst all the hard work was going on behind the scenes. The food and beverage manager Will was also very friendly and professional and made sure the meal and evening part of the day was perfect. The food was delicious, well present and served hot were appropriate ( I have a thing about cold food) and the drinks that were part of our package were also very nice and served promptly at the appropriate times. The hotel is beautiful and the view even better but it wouldn't be anything with out the people who work there and the management should be proud of their staff. The room we got married in and also the room below where we had our meal and evening function were both lovely rooms, both had a stunning sea view and we also had access to an outside terrace which was lovely as we were lucky enough to have the sun shining. The hotel was the first wedding venue we viewed and we knew straight away that it was where we wanted to get married. The wedding co-ordinators are amazing, particularly Sydney who helped me through my wedding planning making it as stress-free as possible. She really was a great support throughout the whole thing. Dominique was also so friendly and helpful. They put you at ease that everything is in hand and the day went amazingly well thanks to them. The venue is simply stunning and my friends and family all said what a beautiful place it was. We stayed all weekend enjoying drinks on the terrace on the eve of the wedding which made us feel relaxed. The view is magical and brings such a sense of calm. I wanted a relaxed wedding and this venue couldn't have been more perfect. We even took a stroll to the beach for photos on the our wedding day. The team from start to finish were incredible. Thank you so much for memories that will last a lifetime.
