Star Castle Hotel

The Star Castle Hotel on the Isles of Scilly is surely one of the most romantic wedding venues in the UK and has now been recognised as one of the very best, picking up a coveted 'Editor's Choice' award in the 2017 edition of the Good Hotel Guide, ranking it as one of the country's top hotels for weddings. The 16th century castle - built in the shape of an eight-pointed star - is complete with a moat and has fantastic views over the harbour of St Mary's. It sits on the largest of the Isles of Scilly, with access to incredibly fresh seafood and surrounded by picture-perfect islands with white sandy beaches and a tranquil way of life. The castle is licensed for weddings from as little as six people to a larger gathering with full wedding breakfast for up to 40 in the vine clad Conservatory. One of the most popular packages takes place in the Castle Restaurant (which, long ago, was the officer’s mess) and includes a sparkling Scilly tea, consisting of a traditional cream tea served with a glass of bubbly and finger sandwiches for £40.00 per person. There is an additional cost of £380 for room hire, which doesn’t include the registrar’s fee. The hotel is licensed for weddings on any day of the year between 12-4pm. Accommodation at the Star Castle can be arranged on request and the hotel can be made available exclusively to the wedding party, subject to availability.
