Description

Kent Wedding Award winners 2019, 2016 and 2013. The Barn has been uniquely reconstructed from a centuries old Elizabethan barn which was originally built in a Kent village and re-erected on its present site in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells some years ago. It is full of oak beams and columns throughout and creates a wonderful atmosphere which is absolutely perfect for weddings. The traditional Kentish style of the building is complemented with a beautiful stylish Orangery where your ceremony would take place and opens out on to the award-winning courtyard garden. Another unique feature of The Barn is that you can have exclusive use of the entire venue and gardens with absolutely no venue or reception hire charges, which adds to the exceptional value which our inclusive packages offer. Your wedding breakfast will be served in our pretty restaurant which is full of rustic atmosphere. Again, uniquely at The Barn, we offer your guests a choice of menu for each course and the inclusive drinks package includes champagne as standard for both reception drinks and the toast. As the time for dancing approaches, The Barn transforms into a magical and romantic evening venue with the building and garden illuminated in twinkling lights. With no reception venue hire charges, you can invite up to 150 evening guests at no extra cost. We have made arrangements for specially discounted rates for our wedding guests in nearby selected hotels. For me, the personal approach is important as no two weddings are the same. Magical memories of the day...Magical memories of the day...
Philippe and Janet, we are just packing for our holiday to Norway and we have been chatting about our wonderful wedding day last Sunday. We have lots of magical memories of the day. This was all made possible by the smooth operation at ‘The Barn', The staff, the food, the preparation, the attention to detail, the ‘seamless' delivery of the food and drink and, of course, how you managed to remove the rain and obtain the sun is a mystery to us. Philippe/Janet, we want to thank you for making our day perfect. For everything you did for us – it was truly amazing. We were inundated by our guests saying what an unbelievable venue we were in and they all wanted to say a big ‘Thank You' to you and your staff – and they truly deserve it. We have got to say we had the most amazing day, the whole team must have worked so hard to set everything up just as we envisioned. Philippe and Janet catered to everything we asked and didn’t mind answering our endless questions. The venue allows you to have such an intimate and personal wedding. We really could not have asked for a better day, thank you so much for everything the whole team did to help create it. We will be back for visits. Our guests were blown away!Our guests were blown away!
We have only just managed to take a moment to reflect on our day, as it passed by so quickly, and we wanted to send over a message of thanks. Chris and myself could not thank you enough, from the very beginning when we were looking to view The Barn right up until the day after you were all so wonderful. You made our day possible, you have been so very helpful with all of our enquiries, millions of questions and plans for the day as was Phillipe during our meetings prior to the big day! Philippe and his team truly made the whole of The Barn look spectacular, making my vision of ‘the perfect venue’ into a reality, it actually exceeded all expectations (apologies to them for having to unpack boxes and boxes of decor) and our guests were blown away with how beautiful the ceremony and reception rooms looked. Now for the food… what can I say?! To start, our guests were astounded at the ability to choose their own food prior to the day and then even more so when we mentioned that we had such a wide and varied choice to narrow it down from. When the food came out everyone was pleased with their choices, all of the food looked delicious and it came out hot and perfectly cooked. Many guests mentioned how they enjoyed the fact they received a ‘proper meal’ unlike most weddings that they had been to before (and we were extremely grateful for our surprise ‘three for me’ puddings too, our favourite!). Although we were too busy dancing to eat much buffet food in the evening the spread looked wonderful and it was great to have been saved a plate by the kitchen to take home at the end of the night, what a lovey touch! We would like to thank Philippe and all of the staff at The Barn for their service on the day, they really did go the extra mile to ensure it all ran smoothly and that we had the perfect day. Phillipe was so organised and helpful throughout and we even got chaperoned to Calverley park by Paul, armed with umbrellas, and showing us all of the best spots for photos. It truly was the most wonderful day, made even more so by friendly, funny and extremely helpful members of the team. Our parents and grandparents have all said how The Barn did us extremely proud, the highest of compliments, and we couldn’t have wished for a better day. Again, thank you so so much for making our day what it was. Beyond expectations, extremely special and so unique. Janet and Philippe and all of your wonderful staff, thank you so much for a seamless and stress-free experience on our wedding day. We had the best day from start to end. The organisation was amazing and Janet was always on hand to answer my questions, however ridiculous they were. The barn looked absolutely beautiful and was perfect for our intimate wedding. Our guests were very complimentary about the delicious food and the fantastic service. DJ Luke kept me on the dance floor all night. We just couldn't have asked for a better day, we are so grateful to you and the wonderful job you did. We both really wanted to give you our most heartfelt thanks, for making our special day on Sunday so magical. I don't think we can even begin to put into words just how special it was. We received so many compliments on the food, the service, the vibe, the people and the location to name but a few. The day was seamless and we felt so looked after. It was everything we had hoped it would be and more. We can't stop talking about it, nor can any of our guests!We both really wanted to give you our most heartfelt thanks, for making our special day on Sunday so magical. Just amazing!Just amazing!
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at The Barn, we got married here on 9th June 2019. Our day was just perfect, exactly what we had dreamed of and more, we wanted the relaxed feel and honestly our guests said that’s exactly how they all felt! We went off to the park opposite to have some traditional photos taken - this had over run, so we were around an hour late to sit down for dinner, however this didn’t seem to be a problem for the barn - so we just hea Janet - the lovey lady behind the emails! Thank you so much for answering my 1000s of questions, and making me feel like nothing was to much! The staff - the staff are brilliant, they were just in the background tidying and keeping the day flow amazingly, but never intrusive. There was never a wait at the bar - and we had over 100 guests in the evening! Philippe - throughout the planning process he was amazing, he helped with everything and when I dropped off my many boxes of decorations, with 100 things to tell him he just listened and decorated the venue exactly how I had imagined it. I just couldn’t put into writing how amazing everyone and everything was at the barn. A perfect intimate wedding venue! My husband and I got married at the Barn on Sunday and it couldn’t have been more perfect if they tried. In the lead up to the wedding Janet was amazing and listened to everything I said and catered for all of my needs. The menu was adapted to be more appealing to the vast amount of children I had during the day. There was nothing that I couldn’t ask for. On the day Phillipe let me come and arrange things according to the vision I had. Phillipe and his staff had done the ground work but they let me take control of everything to make it everything that I had wished for. Phillipe put all of the extra little touches in to make it more than I could ever imagine like the flowers in the sign on the gate, the love hearts scattered down the stairs and the gypsophelia spread on top of the ceremony chair. He saw my vision and without me saying in so many words he made it happen. All of the staff were so attentive and they service was outstanding! They clearly have thought about every little detail of the day in order for my wedding to not be forgettable for myself and my guests. We just can not stop talking about the day and my husband even said can we do it all again next weekend! We stayed at Bailbrook lodge which was part of the wedding package and that certainly added to the appeal. I’ve been in my own little wedding bubble since Sunday and that helped me to continue to feel the excitement for a few more days. I can’t thank everyone enough. A perfect intimate wedding venue!
