I can honestly say from beginning to end they were faultless. Right from looking round the venue to booking and all of the planning before the day was perfect. Robyn who was our wedding planner made our experience a dream. She was on the ball straight away, nothing was a ‘silly’ request and she dealt with everything we wanted to make our day special. We can’t fault the Devonshire Arms, our day was truly magical. If we could have our day again, I wouldn’t change a thing. The venue is beautiful and staff were amazing. We had a lot of feedback from our guests who all said positive things about the venue. We got married at the Devonshire arms on the 1st June 2019. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We have had so many great weddings but a firm favourite was one where the couple used all the space they had. They booked a vintage ice cream van for the outside terrace, decorated the entrance with a wooden rustic arch and inside had various personal touches that made it just lovely!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Of course the day is about you tying the knot, but it also is about your guests enjoying it with you. We always suggest thinking about their guest experience too and they will tell the amazing stories for years to come of how wonderful your day was!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A father of the groom once hand carved wooden place names with dried flowers from an old family oak tree - this gave me goosebumps it was so heartfelt!

Relaxed, adaptable, fun, modern, spacious.
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There are so many! There are lots of private riverside locations perfect for those couple shots.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We have! A sports legend but we wont reveal names...
What’s your favourite canapé?
The mini Yorkshire puddings filled with roast beef and red onion marmalade are delicious!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
We offer yummy cheese toasties & miniature desserts which always go down well with our guests.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Being a riverside venue and within a woodland area makes it truly magical by dusk - just you, your guests and nature!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The staff that work so hard to pull everything together for your special day are fantastic, incredibly enthusiastic and attentive on the day.
