Our aim at The Clarendon Royal Hotel is to provide a tailored wedding day offering the highest quality of both food and service, within stylish yet relaxed and informal surroundings.
You will meet with one of our dedicated event team members to discuss your exact vision for the day, tailoring everything from, arrival drinks, wedding breakfast, decor and your evening buffet. We hope your day will be exclusive and memorable for yourselves as well as your guests. Whether you get married within our beautiful hotel or have your wedding reception following a service elsewhere. We aim to create an intimate and memorable occasion in our beautiful Edward VII suite.
The Clarendon Royal Hotel holds a full wedding licence. Our dedicated events team have a wealth of experience organising weddings and civil partnerships, taking the stress away from you, leaving you to enjoy your day to the fullest.

We have just got married at the venue and would like to thank the hotel Event Team, Steve and all his staff for the wonderful experience you gave us to add to our memories of our wedding day and did we have one. Never mind about the Royal Wedding our guests thought they were at it, as we were treated like royalty on the day by the Clarendon. All our guests came up to us after the wedding breakfast to thank us for the delicious food they had, not one had a bad experience, so well done to the chef and all the helpers. The evening guests also commented on how good the evening buffet was. All the staff was so friendly, helpful, polite and very attentive to our needs and the rooms and hotel were very clean and tidy. What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
We always advise all couples to have the ceremony early so you can actually enjoy your day. So many couples plan the perfect day but don't leave any time to actually spend with their guests and take in the day due to hurrying through from ceremony to sit down to reception. My advise would always be to have the ceremony early, pick a venue which can cater for your entire day, across different rooms/spaces and just enjoy yourselves. It can be hard to not get swayed by outside opinions and interests but this is YOUR special day not their's have everything the way you want it!!!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We recently hosted a wedding where the father of the brides speech was a song he'd written throughout that day. It detailed little quirky things that had happened on the day. He then taught everyone the chorus and all 100 guests song along with him.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We have uninterrupted views across the river Thames from our river terrace so that's a good place to start!! Being an 18th century property we have many features, from the free standing Georgian staircase to the iconic front facade of the hotel.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Crispy Bacon Baps!!!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We have our own private River Terrace as well as many features being an 18th century building.
