Home to over 400 species of exotic and endangered animals, Bristol Zoo is a unique venue with extensive hospitality facilities for a range of events and occasions.
From small gatherings through to or large extravagant affairs, we can accommodate your needs. The grand Clifton Pavilion building offers formal entertaining areas, including a large ballroom, small boardroom-style spaces and a fully fitted lecture theatre.
For an evening event your guests will never forget, why not hire the Zoo’s 12-acre grounds complete with private viewings of the animal houses? Our beautiful gardens and buildings, combined with contemporary menus and welcoming staff, make this a venue that cannot be matched in or around Bristol.
Bristol Zoo Gardens is a conservation and education charity. Holding your event at Bristol Zoo helps fund our important work in the Zoo as well as our vital conservation and research projects in the UK and around the world.

From the very start when we first visited Clifton Pavilion to view the venue, we were impressed by how effortless you made things and the excellent communication throughout reassured us that we were in safe hands. Even when we had a few curveballs thrown our way, you helped to resolve them quickly and always seemed calm! You made things so easy for us in discussing plans and it was wonderful to see everything come together on the day. Thank you so much for coordinating with our suppliers too and for helping to keep everything in check in the run-up to make sure we hadn't missed anything key. It really helped with the build up to get excited about the big day. The venue itself was just perfect - all of our guests loved exploring the zoo and the extra touches made it all the more special. The gin bar and ice cream van were also very well received! Please do pass on our thanks and compliments to the chef and to Alicia and Jared, who throughout the day ensured everything was running as planned with a smile. I cannot emphasise how impressed people were with the food and from my own perspective as someone with coeliac disease, it was very important to me thay we could cater well for people with dietary requirements and Clifton Pavilion far surpassed our expectations. It was absolutely perfect and the sun shone for us too which was the icing on top.
