We are blessed with a wonderful location! A beautiful old building with contemporary design, perfect for intimate gatherings, a spectacular setting with uninterrupted views and a convenient location, only a mile from one of the most accessible roads in East Anglia. But these are qualities shared with many fantastic venues across the country. However we believe your wedding day is much more than a lovely view or an attractive building. It’s about people! From the moment you celebrate your engagement, your wedding journey is about sharing the most special day of your lives with the people around you. Making new bonds, creating new friendships and rekindling family ties. And that is why our first question will always be, 'what vision do you have for your wedding day?' We are not lovers of packages and we are not lovers of formulaic weddings or processing plants! Our role in this journey is to help you create the day you dreamt of and fit it to the budget you are comfortable with. Sharing your wedding day at The Compasses is a great honour for us. And we will never forget that.

Both myself and Joe had the best day of our lives. This could not have happened without all of the team at The Compasses. Paul and his team are exceptional at what they do. They are professional and totally listened and understood our vision for our wedding, to make it a stress free and an amazing day. The venue is phenomenal, we had a personal wedding that was bespoke to our exact requirements. To create the most special day of our lives. We couldn’t have wished for anything more! Both myself and Joe had the best day of our lives. This could not have happened without all of the team at The Compasses. Paul and his team are exceptional at what they do. We had the most wonderful day with Paul and the Team such fun in a relaxed and beautiful setting. nothing was too much trouble for this amazing team. We so enjoyed our experience with the Compasses from the moment we booked and got the warmth and love we were looking for our NYE winter wedding. We knew in an instance it was just perfect. We are still on Cloud 9!!We are still on Cloud 9!!
Wow, a few days after our wedding and we are still on cloud nine. So much of that is thanks to the team at the Compasses. From start to finish, Paul, Claire and the team were helpful, knowledgeable and flexible. Nothing was too much to ask, and there isn't anything the team can't advise you on! Most importantly, on the day, they ensured it ran flawlessly. We had our wedding reception at The Compasses on Saturday after getting married at the church in Coggeshall and could not have asked for a better venue or team to help us make what was an absolutely perfect day. From start to end, Paul was there to keep us on track and let us know what would be happening when, and was such a brilliant host on the day. From greeting us with our reception drinks as we got out of our car, to helping with every little detail to make the day run smoothly, we would definitely recommend The Compasses. Just Wow!Just Wow!
Just wow!! James and I got married at the compasses yesterday. We knew it was the venue for us as soon as we walked through the door!! Paul, Claire and the whole team were amazing throughout we can’t thank them enough. We have had sooo many messages from our friends and family saying how amazing the whole day was. Just wow!! James and I got married at the compasses yesterday. We knew it was the venue for us as soon as we walked through the door!! Sooooooo where do we start....... From the second we saw this venue and the team we knew that we wanted to be married here. Paul and his team are a different class, not only was the correspondence great from day one but nothing was never to much for them.... Paul was honest with his advice and when ever we needed him he was right by our sides. He not only helped make our day perfect but he’s become a friend. Amazing venue that needs very little decoration , food was on point , location gorgeous and if anybody wondered how these guys have been nominated for two HUGE awards then just spend a day at the gorgeous compasses then you will realise exactly how .... me and my wife are sat writing this on our way to New York in the air and still feel buzzing after what we can only describe as the Perfect day. Thank you Paul and the amazing compasses team , keep up the amazing job. We had the best day getting married at the Compasses . From the minute we viewed the venue, we knew that it was the one and could not wait to get it booked! Paul is amazing, so calm and helpful from beginning to end, and it was so nice to have the flexibility to have the wedding we wanted. All the communication we had with Claire and the rest of the team was brilliant, always happy to answer any questions, and on the day everyone was just fantastic. I can’t thank the compasses enough for giving us our dream wedding! The compasses was our first viewing of venues, we went to see somewhere else and straight away we knew we had to chose the compasses and I am so glad we did. Paul and his team are absolutely wonderful and super easy going and helpful at all times. The day itself was super easy going and everything was perfect. Everyone needs to get married at the compasses. I can’t thank the compasses enough for giving us our dream wedding!
