The original Georgian Ballroom complete with minstrel’s gallery, chandeliers and silk hand-painted wallpaper, is unrivalled for its elegance - it seats up to 120 guests and is licensed for civil ceremonies. The 16th century Benson room is ideal for more intimate occasions. The seasonal Wedding Breakfast menus use ingredients from the local farms and fishermen. Can't recommend you all highly enough...

Just wanted to say thank you for the kind care and attention delivered by you, Ben and Paul on the day of our wedding and in fact the warm welcome and care to attention and detail, where nothing was too much trouble from the whole team at the George. Especially the reception team the night before. We had such a truly wonderful day, in no small part down to you and your team, we ran Ben and Paul ragged with drinks and last minute requests and they came up trumps with a smile on their faces every single time, The food was stunning upstairs and downstairs and we really appreciated the little details, attention to detail with candles etc. that I hadn’t had to worry about or get involved in. I would wholeheartedly recommend The George as a venue for any occasion and can assure you that it will be a place of choice for a night away or special occasion in the future. Can’t recommend you all highly enough.
