With stunning views overlooking the Tamar Valley, exceptional food, beautiful interiors and 5 acres of grounds, The Horn of Plenty on the Devon/Cornwall border offers a romantic and highly flexible venue for your wedding.
3 x winner of "Devon Wedding Venue of the Year" in the South West Wedding Awards, based entirely on feedback from recent brides and grooms. This independently owned 4 star hotel also has 2 AA rosettes, with wedding guests regularly commenting that their wedding breakfast here was the best they’ve ever tasted.
The venue has 4 rooms licensed for Civil Ceremonies and Partnerships and can accommodate 20-90 guests in the main house, or up to 200 guests in a marquee on the lawn. Outside wedding ceremonies are also available, weather permitting, offering gorgeous views over the Tamar Valley.
The hotel will create a bespoke package completely tailored to your needs, from a small, intimate gathering to a large exclusive use wedding. We will invite you to meet with Head Chef and design your own bespoke wedding breakfast menu.

Julie and Emma took care of everything for us. The Hotel offers a dedicated wedding co-ordinator – something that we hadn’t expected, but were so grateful to have. Throughout the planning stages both Julie and Emma accommodated all of our requests and offered us guidance when appropriate. On the wedding day itself, they made sure the day flowed seamlessly, enabling us to relax and enjoy the day. The communication between us and the Hotel was excellent. We felt like our wedding was as important to them, as it was to us. We were allowed to feel as if nothing was ever too much trouble, no matter how small the request. We, and our guests, were made to feel so welcome within the Hotel. All of the staff were excellent. The accommodation was superb and the food was spectacular. Our guests raved about the food, as much as they did about the venue. We cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough. We have every intention of going back to the Hotel on a regular basis, and it has become a firm favourite with our guests too. She made us feel so welcome and special from the moment we stepped into the hotel whilst looking for a venue that we knew we wanted to get married there. From that very first meeting, Julie and her team couldn’t do enough to ensure our day was perfect in every way. We planned the wedding from Yorkshire and the wedding team were on always hand to answer any questions we had. The actual day was amazing. The food was out of this world. The chef had created a bespoke menu for us earlier in the year where we met with him and discussed our favourite food. He then designed a menu around this and made our favourite foods even better! All of our guests commented on how good the food was and how well ran the day went. I can’t recommend The Horn of Plenty enough. We will most certainly be going back in years to come.
