The Little Theatre Cinema, a unique little venue full of 1930s character and charm and hidden away in Bath’s spa quarter. It is here where the Little Weddings Team offer a range of packages from vintage extravaganza to a more simple and modest affair. One of the most exciting reasons to have a Little Wedding is the use of our projection and sound facilities to add that personal touch. Imagine your own film, photomontages and even faux-movie trailers playing on the big screen as your guests arrive. The only limitation is your imagination! We offer two distinct packages which can be altered or tailored to each wedding: - Screen One weddings are for larger, grander affairs which showcase fully the art deco features and style of the cinema, and has a capacity of 110. We aim to offer a Vintage Hollywood-esque feel to the day which includes a red carpet entrance for arrival and the drinks reception. Previous weddings have thoroughly run with the theme and have created some magical ‘movie moments’ for their special day. - Screen Two weddings are for smaller, more intimate ceremonies with a smaller capacity of 65 guests and use of the bar area for drinks reception. For film fans looking to really encapsulate the feel of retro cinema in their day this is an ideal choice. Both packages include within the two hour timeslot full use of the screen and sound equipment, decorations, 30 portions of popcorn, staff in vintage outfits, a dedicated co-ordinator to run your day, projection costs and a drinks reception (drinks to be provided by couple). We have space for bespoke posters to be displayed for both screens, and Screen One also includes a confetti fan.

Our wedding day was fantasticOur wedding day was fantastic
From start to finish the staff and venue were incredible. Gabi was very welcoming and helped us really visualise how our day would run and how the venue would look. Aaron assisted us with all our technology needs, checking and correcting the format of our music and videos. Friends and family commented on how relaxed I was in the build up to the day and the friendly, supportive staff at the Little Theatre deserve the credit as they took a lot of the stress away due to being so organised, yet relaxed, with all of the details for the day. Our wedding day was fantastic, guests were extremely complimentary on all of the little quirks that the venue enabled us to exploit. In particular use of the big screen and popcorn for guests. Due to the charming venue we were able to get some fantastic photos that would not be possible anywhere else. It felt amazing to walk down the aisle onto the stage and our big day was uniquely perfect thanks to this venue. The posters outside and our names on the now showing board were lovely touches to make us feel very special. We both look forward to watching a film soon in screen 1! 'What an incredible venue''What an incredible venue'
What an absolutely incredible venue. We got married in May 2017 and wish we could do it again! The team were so helpful, flexible and generally lovely throughout, cannot thank them enough. The whole feel of the place was wonderful and it gave us so much room to be creative. We showed a pixar short before the ceremony (much to our guests surprise) but we could have made our own film had time been on our side. Having the vintage style tickets as save the dates gave a sneaky hint to our guests which was a hoot and the poster frames were another opportunity to have some fun and make it more personal! The whole day went so smoothly, even the grandparents enjoyed it. We will be visiting for all our anniversary's. Thanks Little TheatreWhat an absolutely incredible venue. We couldn't have chosen a better venue.We couldn't have chosen a better venue.
We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our Wedding than the Little Theatre. Right in the centre of Bath and a little bit quirky, which is just what we were looking for. Aaron kept in touch to make sure everything was in place for the day, checking our DVD to show on the big screen, sending out cinema tickets for the guests and printing posters to announce the Wedding. Everything went smoothly on the day, the music, the film, the ceremony and the popcorn went down a treat with the guests. I would definitely recommend the Little Theatre as a venue especially if you are looking for something a little bit different and special for your big dayWe couldn't have chosen a better venue for our Wedding than the Little Theatre. My wife and I are not completely traditional people. Yes, white dress and nice suit but we wanted a venue that would be unique and impress our guests from all over the world. The Little Theatre does this. Set up perfectly with an aisle down the middle and situated right in the heart of the city, our guests loved the concept and the result of what the Little Weddings team put on, especially the little touches of our wedding being named alongside the films in the running order together with our own personally made posters outside. During our ceremony we had live music and what you notice about the venue is the acoustics are brilliant. Sam and Beth (our performers) chose the perfect routine and I even caught our guests clapping some of their songs prior to the wedding! It's a very intimate and comfortable venue and, due to being a working cinema, the sight-lines are fantastic for everyone. I think this made it seem like everyone was attending a small gig beforehand and it worked well. Beyond anything, the Little Theatre offers two things. 1. An amazing Little Weddings team that could not be more accommodating; that contacted me throughout the process (important given I was 4000 miles away when organizing this); that were smiley, happy and made time to see me whenever I was home visiting; that gave us a degree of comfort as people that knew what they were doing. 2. And this is important, my wife and I wanted venues that we could enjoy again in the future for our anniversaries. People don't go back to the church/courthouse where they got married for their anniversary but we can go to the Little Theatre and watch a movie before going to our reception venue for an amazing view and meal and this is something we'll always have. Plus, the team gave us a perfect first anniversary gift - PAPER - in the form of two tickets to see a movie in the future. This was the perfect venue for our wedding day. We didn't want anything 'normal' and this certainly fitted the bill. The Little Weddings team are excellent and kept us well informed throughout the run up and on our actual day. Adding a bit of showbiz and theatrics was never a problem and the ceremony and drinks reception after was fun and relaxed. Quote of the day from one of our friends was 'You've won the weddings.' Well, we certainly felt we had and had great fun doing it thanks in no small part to Gabi, Aaron and the team.This was the perfect venue for our wedding day. Our wedding at the Little Theatre Cinema was fantastic. We could really personalise the day and everyone commented how memorable the ceremony was. We were able to show photo montages before and after the ceremony of all of our friends and family. We also put together a video of our guests each reading a line of a poem in their own unique way! All of the staff were helpful and friendly and made us feel really welcome. The drinks reception afterwards was lovely and it was fun to have popcorn served with the fizz. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

Most recently we had a colourful, rainbow themed wedding with cupcakes provided as a centrepiece for the reception. As a venue we pride ourselves on our ability to remain professional but must admit this couple were so radiant we were all in tears as they came down the aisle and realised their dream of marrying their best friend.

Similar to what we do ourselves - have a timeline in the run up to your day to ensure nothing gets missed and you stay as stress free as possible.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Each wedding has a different vibe so it's hard to choose just one, however all staff loved watching the DeLorean pull up to take the bride to next venue chased by her new husband in a yellow camper van!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

This very much depends! We have our amazing red carpet which is always popular for group shots, the front doors make a retro backdrop for one of those 'first kisses' pictures and then for formal shots of the whole group we have some beautiful Bath architecture located just next which gives a classic frame.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

All our guests and couples are treated like celebrities!

What’s your favourite canapé?

Popcorn! Although we can never agree amongst staff if salted or sweet is best!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

We are a 1930's art deco cinema - the whole venue is unique with each couple finding something different that speaks to them. We have a a vintage box office, small kiosk, balcony amongst other features - they all provide a Hollywood style backdrop for weddings.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

We pride ourselves on ensuring we provide a tailored wedding for each couple that echoes who they are as a couple without distracting from the ceremony itself.
