We had the most amazing wedding planner called Ashleigh and the staff was all brilliant. They made my day perfect, put all there hard work into making it a day to remember. It such a beautiful place! So clean, and bedrooms were just lovely. The food is amazing - all our family commented on how good the food was, so hands up to the chef for making us the most tasty 3 course meal. The evening party went on until 12. And it was a party to remember for ever. I can't thank everyone enough for all there hard work they put into my day. From start to finish it really was perfect, we couldn't fault anything. Ashleigh Copping coordinated all that was needed for the reception and we felt she was spot on with exactly how my daughter and husband wanted everything. We had 50 to the wedding breakfast and the Buffett meal we went for was delicious food. In the evening we had a 100 guests and we all really enjoyed the hog roast. The stern room was a perfect size for these numbers and the doors opened onto the courtyard which gave a good outside space. The pre reception drinks were held in the small separate bar room and we also had a separate area for a fun photo booth. We were able to set up some of the room and bunting outside the night before. Ashleigh ensured all the tables and room on the day were set up exactly as we had instructed. The staff were so helpful and Ashleigh was brilliant through the event quietly working in the background making it all happen. It also was very good value. We would not hesitate to recommend the Spinnaker and Stern Room for anyone looking for a wedding reception venue. This is a hard question as we have had some truly amazing weddings and each one has been uniquely different. So, i would have too say all of them.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Have a wedding planner or co-ordinator they will guide step by step and have an abundance of experience. Also, book a videographer they are amazing and do capture your wedding day in a different way to your photographer.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
having the table plan drawn into cartoon characters of the bride & groom. It was very personal and showed the character of the couple.

The room divider, you can have your small intimate wedding breakfast with close family and friends and then in the evening open the divider and invite more guests to your evening party along wowing them with your DJ & dancefloor.
