Our wedding packages are designed to make planning your wedding as simple and affordable as possible. All include room hire for the wedding breakfast and evening party, use of the Lodge grounds for photography, use of white table linen and chair covers and sashes, free parking for your guests, table plan easel, cake base and knife, red carpet, plus discounted accommodation rates for guests. The Thornbury Lodge offers a fantastic solution for close friends and family accommodation on the night of your wedding, with diverse and comfortable guest rooms. They each have their own unique look, but the overriding theme is one of rest and relaxation. Care has been taken to ensure that the rooms are the perfect place to unwind at the end of a long day or a long golf round! All rooms feature a flat-screen television, tea and coffee-making facilities, complimentary wash products, fresh white bed linen and big fluffy bath towels.

We had our wedding reception here in January and it was fantastic!! We can't thank the team at Thornbury enough for making our day so special! Thank you so much to Charlotte for taking all of my emails and for making everything possible. The venue was beautiful and we were able to decorate it exactly as we wanted. The staff were amazing on the day, nothing was too much trouble and they were enjoying the day as much as we were. Huge compliments to the chef for the fantastic wedding breakfast! We had a lot of allergy requests and every single one of them was met perfectly! We still have family and friends say to us how fantastic the food was. Thank you so so much Thornbury for helping to make our wedding day completely perfect! "We got married at Thornbury golf club and had the most amazing time. We had a small wedding in the day and the food and service was perfect. We then had a big party on the evening and again it was fantastic. We had our ceromony ,breakfast and evening party at the Thornbury Golf centre and it all went so perfectly. The staff are amazing and all our guests had a wonderful time. The rooms in the lodge are just so perfect; spacious, clean for our wedding guests and the bridal suite is beautiful . We are so happy we chose our special day at the Thornbury Golf Centre, it was just wonderful. Wow! just Wow! From the very start the service provided by Nicola and the team at this venue was outstanding. As an older Bride I wasn't sure of how to arrange a wedding! I had no need to worry, from the very first meeting I knew I was in capable hands, the venue itself is so warm and inviting and all our guests of which there were a large number were catered for excellently. The staff and event organiser (Nicola and Charlotte) were outstanding on the day, helping me calm when a hiccup occurred. I would highly recommend this venue and just cant thank everyone involved enough. From the start to the finish of the day my husband and I had comments on what a fantastic venue we had chosen and how helpful and willing the staff were!Wow! just Wow! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

We had a Christmas themed winter wedding. It really was gorgeous, the wedding breakfast was set up with 9 round tables, each table was named after one of Santa's reindeer! The room was decorated with foliage, pinecones and holly. The bride's brother even read an extract from The Grinch during the ceremony (the part where his heart grows 3 sizes!) It was beautiful and very original.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Plan & book the big things first! You have plenty of time to sort out all of the little things, take care of the big things like the venue first and I promise it will be a lot less stressful!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Every wedding guest received a gingerbread man as a favor. They were laid out on the place settings during the wedding breakfast. That was something different I had never seen before!

Our beautiful balcony overlooking the golf course & hills or outside our 15th century Lodge, you may even have a deer stop by!
