Your special occasion deserves the very best of surroundings, and the period Georgian elegance of The Merrion provides a beautiful backdrop for an unforgettable and unique Dublin wedding. At The Merrion, we take pride in ensuring that each wedding is as individual as the couple themselves. We offer a bespoke experience to all our clients, allowing couples to tailor-make every element of their big day. The grand salons of The Merrion have a separate entrance with marbled hallway, and feature original Georgian plasterwork. The magnificent rooms are decorated with luxurious fabrics, hand-woven carpets and antique furniture. We can accommodate up to 80 guests in our larger rooms.
Pieces from the hotel’s impressive collection of 19th- and 20th-century art hang on the walls, while the tables are covered in Irish linen and set with the finest china, cutlery and flowers. There is no more perfect backdrop to a memorable celebration. We are happy to host traditional, contemporary, humanist and multicultural weddings in our magnificent Georgian Salon. Our venue is fully licensed. Our expert Wedding Co-ordinator is on hand to ensure that every detail is taken care of, and all expectations surpassed.

Highly impressed with the staff - which is a bonus at this time. They were attentive and efficient. The food was not your usual almost anything will do fare. I have never felt more glamorous in my whole entire life getting out of a taxi and walking up the steps of your hotel, we were treated like royalty from start to finish. Our room was pure perfection, we sat on the chairs drinking our champagne looking at this giant marshmallow of a duvet afraid to put a crease in it! Two sinks in the bathroom, every woman's dream.Myself and my husband got married on the 12th April in the registry office and we stayed in your hotel for our wedding night. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Laura & Megan in events pulled out all the stops to make sure the day operated seamlessly. The Wellington and The Wellesley Room were gorgeous set up drinks reception and dinner. We didn't have to leave the grounds of the Merrion for portraits with the courtyard serving as the perfect spot for bridal party photos and the staircase the perfect backdrop for the couples photos.
