It was the best day of our lives. Aileen and Colum were our wedding planners and they did such an amazing job I can't thank them both enough. All the staff including reception, cleaning, bar staff, serving staff and everyone we were in contact with at Glasson were incredible they couldn't do more for us. They made everything so easy and the venue itself is absolutley beautiful. We will definatley be returning for our first wedding anniversary. The staff on the whole weekend were so helpful and friendly to everyone. Even with a few setbacks due to the weather, we had the most magical day and the most stunning photos! The heated pool was amazing the day after the wedding for some relaxation and the golf course was a big hit. Lovely child friendly spots with a play room, playground and lovely child friendly food options! Really a great hit with the whole wedding party !We had our wedding reception here and it was beautiful. All our friends and family raved about the venue and food. To the entire Team at Glasson Lakehouse, if I could have, I would have given you a standing ovation. From the moment we landed we were treated like royalty, nothing was a problem that couldn’t be resolved and there was always a smile. Our rooms were fantastic, the cleanliness was second to none, the Bridal Suite was breathtakingly gorgeous! The food and wine served to us over those few days was just so delicious! From the lady cleaning the function room (forgive me, as I don’t know your name) who kindly encouraged us to come and do a ‘practice run of the ceremony’ the night before. She was smiling. To Laura at Reception who painstakingly went through every detail with me, thank you. You were smiling. The Bar Staff in Tom’s who accommodated us on the 24th, thank you. You were smiling. To Martina, on the morning of the Wedding, attending on me and mine, thank you. You were smiling. To the staff who took care of our gang of 70 on the day of the wedding, you were efficient, helpful, kind and… smiling. To the guy behind the Bar on the night of the wedding (forgive me, as I don’t know your name) but you went out of your way to find Fintan the following day to thank him, but it is us who thank you. We met with Tania and her brilliant team and booked it straight away. Alexandra was our wedding coordinator and she was such a dream to deal with. No request was too big or too small. On the lead up to the wedding, she made sure we were happy with all the arrangements and was always contactable. On the day, she was quietly in the background and checked in to make sure we were always happy. Her timekeeping was exceptional and the day ran exactly to plan with no stress. We opted for the indoor ceremony given the unruly weather, the views were fab over the lake . The food and service was absolutely fantastic. We opted for the steak and all our guest were praising the fact all steaks were cooked to order and perfect which was no easy task with a very large group to feed! The setting is amazing and our photos are just stunning. The day exceeded our expectations and we had a ball as did all our guests. We are 3 weeks married now and people are still raving about how beautiful the venue is, how good the food and service was, it was a hit with everyone...exactly what a bride and groom want to hear! This included a magician for their arrivals, upbeat music their guests could sign along to, more live music as they guests entered the ballroom. Each part of the day had something different for the guests to enjoy.

Our top tip for couples is to focus on what truly matters to you and let that guide your decisions. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by trends, family expectations, and the number of details, but staying true to your vision will make the day feel more personal and meaningful.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We love seeing all the couples personal touches. This can include a photo timeline from when the couple first meeting, personalized table numbers (could be city names they visited with photos of them in that particular city) and we always love a his and hers cocktail!

What’s your favourite canapé?
We have a selection of canapés to choose from! From smoked salmon & cream cheese to duck rillette, cornichon. A fan favourite and our favourite is the maple glazed pork belly canapé.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
It is a tough decision between our nachos served with tomato salsa, cheese, sour cream, guacamole & chilli, and tayto sandwich grazing table.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
One of our most unique features is our panoramic view of Lough Ree, which provides a stunning backdrop for weddings. Our ballroom has floor to ceiling glass windows which allows guests to fully enjoy the natural beauty of the lake and surrounding landscape.
