Whether you choose to host your celebration here at The Village Barn, at a local church or another venue, we will be pleased to assist you in any way we can.
The Sanctuary
The Village Barn has its own private chapel – “The Sanctuary” – located within the grounds. Alternatively, you may choose to have an outdoor ceremony in our beautiful walled gardens.
Whatever your decision, we are pleased to include a list of useful contacts, churches and celebrants to help you plan your special day here.
The Reception
The Village Barn is a rustic and dramatic wedding venue, offering you an abundance of talking points, intimate spaces and photo opportunities on the happiest of occasions.
The Sanctuary, Orangery, Barn and grounds are exclusively yours, allowing you to put your own stamp on your big day.
After your ceremony, guests cross the gardens to The Orangery where they can choose a drink and relax for the afternoon, enjoying the views, the company and the canapes.
As the evening sets in, guests are invited into the cosy setting of The Barn for the main meal and the speeches.
A short period for the band set up allows time for guests to relax and mingle with background music - or maybe a visit to Willies Bar - before dancing the night away.
The Courtyard provides space for those seeking respite from the festivities and some fresh country air, while The Orangery also serves as a quiet retreat for guests who just want to sit back and relax while the dancing and partying are in full swing in The Barn.
All of our beautiful rustic buildings can be hired exclusively, including The Sanctuary – our very own chapel. Discount rates available for midweek bookings.

The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, the staff are beyond incredible and always so responsive and genuinely can't do enough for you, I mainly was in contact with David and Aoife and they are a dream to deal with. On the day of the wedding, everything was so well organised, staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the food is something else, 2 months later and every time I meet a wedding guest they are still raving about the food!! To die for! Wouldn't change a single thing about our wedding day and the venue and staff made it all the more special! The food was divine, and the whole experience was amazing!! The beautiful spots to take photos, the location, the atmosphere, it was a dream come true! 🥰 You won’t get better than The Barn, Tyrrellspass for your perfect day! We had the most wonderful experience at The Barn, Tyrrellspass! Aoife, Emma and all the team were so helpful and incredible!! The food was divine, and the whole experience was amazing!! - SSandra & John16/01/2025It was even better in realityIt was even better in realityI went on a search for a barn in Ireland for our wedding and of all that I saw online The Village Barn caught my attention and after showing it to my then-partner John we made an appointment to view it. It was even better in reality. John was smitten as was I. We were so excited as it was full of potential. The three spaces were so special, the Chapel, the Orangery, and the Barn, and the vibe was so us. With the bar in the barn and Willie's Bar out front, it was like time had stood still. Full of character. Along with the good-humoured bar staff especially Seamus. We got married on the 2nd of November 2024 and we couldn't have chosen a better venue, it is so special. Aoife and the staff were amazing. She had endless patience and nothing was too much for her. We were able to put our personal touch to all three spaces adding that something extra. We went up the bank holiday Monday before to decorate the Chapel and Michael was amazing, such a gentleman then the night before and on the morning of our wedding. Michael also gave us a tour of our accommodation compliments of the Barn which was so beautiful with a make-up station in situ. The adjacent accommodation was equally of a high standard, quirky and beautiful, and Varina was fabulous and accommodating. I could go on and on, but ultimately our guests are still talking about the Barn, the staff, the food the Barn's signature ice cream, and everyone loved the grazing table, along with the drinks reception in The Orangery. We were very lucky with the weather, and so our guests could mingle on the patio and the courtyard late into the night. We loved hearing our guests speak of their surprise as they walked down the archway at the side of Willies Bar, the element of surprise, none of our guests had ever been at a wedding venue quite like it. And we were told by many we had "raised the bar" as far as weddings were concerned. Everyone with enthusiasm agreed it was the best wedding ever. You just wouldn't get the same atmosphere or energy in any hotel. And as dusk fell the twinkle of the lights in the garden was magical as was the lane leading down to the Chapel. Don't hesitate to book this venue the staff are truly amazing, and anyone with dietary concerns don't worry I'm celiac and I was well taken care of as were our guests with similar requirements, and commented on how attentive the staff were while serving them. I could go on and on but we will leave it at that. Above all the staff were so friendly and helpful at each and every step and helped create a really fun, stress free and relaxed atmosphere. We wanted to have a fun, relaxed day with great food, drinks and dancing and the Barn delivered on all fronts. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone was so responsive to any questions or queries in the lead up and Aoife made sure everything went like clockwork on the day. Our guests had a wonderful time and so many of them have commented on how good the food was. I honestly wish we could do it all again!!We had an incredible day with our family and friends this summer in thr Village Barn. We wanted to have a fun, relaxed day with great food, drinks and dancing and the Barn delivered on all fronts. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone was so responsive to any questions or queries in the lead up and Aoife made sure everything went like clockwork on the day. Our guests had a wonderful time and so many of them have commented on how good the food was. I honestly wish we could do it all again!!

We are very much so about family and our unit and so we wanted all our nieces and nephews involved in our experience along with our own 2 kids. We were allowed to make use of the gardens for the day & night for the kids and we brought lots of garden games , toys etc. Emma & Aoifes involvement in the wedding coordination was excellent, they answered every email & did a thorough run through of the day with us a week before. It was all very easy as the break down from start to finish was so structered and they were super obliging along the way. The food was fantastic, we had lots of people raving about it and the standard 👌 . The atmosphere on the day was smooth, fun, and relaxed. Just like we wanted. Everything ran as it was discussed and the two girls were brilliant considering we aren't the traditional type and had a few tweaks etc. . Great Food, Great Helpers & an absolute Fantastic day was had thanks to all. The grounds are perfect for your photos so you literally don't have to leave the place at any stage of the day and don't miss out on any time with guests & family 😊. Myself and Gary couldn't have found a more perfect venue for our wedding day. Function room outside bar and small pub at the front. There is also a chapel on site. It is a fantastic alternative venue if you are looking for a rustic, fun and different Wedding then I highly recommend. The staff are so friendly and David was great to deal with.
