What part of your business are you most proud of?
Ashford War Memorial Institute is located just outside Bakewell in the beautiful village of Ashford in the Water. The site was gifted to the village by the Duke of Devonshire and was officially opened Saturday 28th September 1929. The Duke 'hoped that the Institute would not only be a memorial to the great war but also of the war before'. We take great pride in our village hall and we welcome anybody who would like to help us keep the memorial building going and also join our committee. You do not have to live in the village and you can be involved as little or as much as you like.
