After Blencowe Hall became authorised as a civil wedding venue, we have started offering wedding breaks at Blencowe Hall but do not advertise this on a wide basis and we do not have a standard brochure, nor are we really sure that we would like to have such a thing, as we do not see ourselves as offering a set of standard wedding packages. We do not anticipate becoming a major commercial wedding venue preferring instead to remain more personal and smaller scale in terms of numbers of weddings. We offer wedding weekends with a minimum of a three night stay at our properties and do not offer single night bookings. Blencowe Hall has 12 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms (two rooms share a family bathroom on the Central Range hall) which means it accommodates up to 24 guests. It might be useful to know that at Blencowe Hall there are two ground floor bedrooms in the North Tower, one of which has a walk in wet room shower which we have found is really helpful for our guests with limited mobility or young children. The South Tower Dining Room, the Breakfasting Kitchen, Utility Room, Butler's Pantry, Snug, oak panelled Entrance Hall and the Billiards Room are all on the ground floor. Our bedrooms are also set out in pairs in the North Tower and Central Range so that parents travelling with young children may easily have them in a room nearby. Blencowe Hall is Grade I listed and the restoration programme has brought the two derelict castellated towers back into use for the first time in 300 years. Our website includes floor plans etc and three of the twin bedded rooms can either be configured as twins or as 5 or 6 foot beds depending on your preference. Blencowe Hall is 5* rated by Quality in Tourism, part of Visit England, and has also won a Gold Award for exceptional quality in all areas, in particular with respect to service and hospitality. We also participate in their affinity programmes and Blencowe Hall has been certified as a "Families/Pets Welcome".

This is the price for Blencowe Hall at £58 per person per night based on full occupancy of 24 residential guests. The price is for a 3 night minimum stay on a self catering basis including all costs of the en-suite accommodation, linen, towels, guest hampers, guest bathroom toiletries, logs & kindling, broadband wifi etc If guests require the cottages and the booking is for the summer holidays in 2019 then the price will be £62 per person per night based on full occupancy of the hall and cottages.

More than enough wonderful rooms for all. Great kitchen facilities and well stocked with all essentials. Perfect Location for our WeddingPerfect Location for our Wedding
Perfect Location for our Wedding Left on Mar 5, 2018 for a stay in Feb 2018 We were fortunate enough to have our wedding at Blencowe Hall for a small, intimate ceremony over the course of a long weekend. The building is absolutely stunning, mixing modern amenities with the grandeur of a centuries old building, and the location is perfect on the doorstep of the lakes, you can see the rolling countryside for miles with snow capped mountains in the distance. Gillian was exceptionally helpful in organising our day and planning our ceremony, nothing was too much trouble for her. The catering for the wedding was fulfilled by Lynn Hilditch and was absolutely exceptional, the dining room would go completely quiet with each course served. The whole wedding party was in agreement that it was some of the best food they had ever eaten, especially the pork which had been cooking since 4 am! I couldn't recommend Lynn highly enough, she really helped make the weekend and was very personable to match. The grounds, facilities and settings are all second to none, whilst the character of the building resembles that or the quintessential English stately Home. Absolutely stunning!Absolutely stunning!
“Absolutely stunning!” Reviewed 7 January 2018 for a stay in December 2017 We got married at Blencowe Hall in December 2017; it was the most perfect venue we could have chosen. Originally we had been looking at a number of different venues, right up until we pulled up at Blencowe Hall for the first time and instantly fell in love with it. The sheer beauty and character of the place meant this was the place for us. The hall has been immaculately restored, bringing it up to modern standards without compromising on the historical character. It feels grand, yet cosy, and the views all around are incredible. We had the ceremony in the Solar Room, which for our 65 guests was about the right size. We then hired a tipi for the reception which was placed in the field behind the cottages, keeping everything close by. All of our wedding guests commented on how amazing the place was, and some are even thinking of booking it in the future for family gatherings! The team could not have been more accommodating and did all she could to make our week-long stay there as stress-free as possible. We also booked out the three cottages that make up the whole site, meaning all of our immediate family could stay on site.
