Charlton Hall is a private Grade II* listed, 18th century hall located within a private 150-acre country estate along the Northumberland coast. Set over three floors, Charlton Hall is made up of a library, drawing room, breakfast room, two bars and speakeasy underground vaults. Our brand new adjoining glass structure ‘The Looking Glass’ frames uninterrupted views of the Hall’s country estate. For your overnight stay, there are six distinctive bedroom suites within the hall which sleep up to 14 guests. A detached stable cottage adjacent to Charlton Hall can also accommodate up to a further 4 overnight guests. Inspired by the Alice in Wonderland adage of being entirely bonkers, at Charlton Hall we’ve championed the norm with its interior design. We aim to deliver a show-stopping venue that plays host to fine dining, private parties and licensed weddings. Charlton Hall is perfect for those looking to spend time and celebrate in a grand and lively stately home boasting designer interiors.

We got married at Charlton Hall on 9th February, can’t say enough good things about the place. Venue is unbelievable and the staff were great and couldn’t be more helpful. Perfect wedding venue. Thank you for giving us the most magical wedding day 10.08.19. It was everything we ever dreamed of and more. Despite the rain...Charlton Hall staff made sure I walked down the aisle without a drop of rain touching me. All of the staff have been amazing but Esme...we can’t thank you enough! I feel like I have made a friend for life. It was the best day ever. A day we certainly won’t forget ??Thank you for giving us the most magical wedding day 10.08.19. Esme, Emily & Andy were all amazing, so helpful, nothing was ever a problem. We had the best day of our lives, with the help of all Charlton Hall staff. All our guests only had positive words about the venue, the food was amazing and service was excellent. From the venue to the staff everything was absolutely perfect. Couldn’t of been easier to organise with the outstanding help of Jess and Esme. Andy also helped a lot through the day and completely took all the stress away. The venue was everything and more, its so beautiful and funky in its very own unique way. I loved absolutely every single minute of my wedding here. Charlton hall will forever hold a place in mine and my beautiful new wife’s hearts. Thank you. Esme was absolutely outstanding ! Nothing was too much trouble. She kept me calm throughout the whole process, it almost felt like having a close friend helping you plan your wedding. I will actually miss speaking to her ! Every team member that we came into contact with was brilliant. Charlton Hall is a venue like no other, it’s pioneering in its way of thinking and design, it was exactly what we were looking for. All of our family and friends haven’t stopped talking about it. We will definitely be having more events here in the future. Thanks again for making our wedding dreams come true, I still get emotional now thinking about it.Esme was absolutely outstanding ! Simply couldn't have gone better!The whole venue was incredible and beautiful. The food and drink were perfect and the staff simply bent over backwards on the day and in the lead up. Amanda, Andy and Esme were all fantastic. Esme was great in the run up to the wedding and kept us calm and Amanda and Andy were fantastic the day of the wedding the service was impeccable. My husband and I got married at Charlton Hall on Saturday. What can I say, the staff especially David and Esme went above and beyond to make our day so special. It was everything we wanted and more. The owner Richard and his whole family made sure everything was ready on time, we really appreciate the work they put in. Charlton Hall is going to be the wedding venue all others aspire to. What an amazing place for a wedding! We had a totally wonderful time at our daughter’s wedding. Without a doubt, Charlton Hall is set to become one of the top wedding venues in the country. The decor is superb; the service first class; the facilities top notch and the food outstanding. Thank you to Richard and his team for the unbelievable efforts made to make sure Lucy, Jez, their family and friends had such a fantastic time on New Year’s Eve.What an amazing place for a wedding!
