The most perfect wedding day The most perfect wedding day
We had the best wedding day !!! From the very moment we first visited The Dartmoor Lodge and first meeting with Emma we knew this is where we wanted to get married. Me and Pete have been together for 11 years and we already have two perfect girls and another little girl on the way so we knew when we decided after a long engagement that we wanted a small but perfect wedding. From the first meeting nothing was to much trouble, all staff welcomed us in like family, and the prospect of another wedding being held there truly made all the staff happy and it was amazing to see. Emma truly loves her job that's easy to see, the passion and love she puts into every part of planning and organizing our dream day was incredible. On the actual wedding weekend myself, my mum and daughters stayed the night before with a few of my now husbands family, we had a delicious meal and again nothing was to much trouble. Liz on reception made booking all our families In to say the night of the wedding easy. We booked out 10 rooms and it made things ever more special waking up the next day to have breakfast with our families. But back to the wedding day, from the moment I went out for breakfast I was greeted by all the staff and made to feel so special. From the bar staff to the chef wishing me good luck and to enjoy it. The attention to detail within our ceremony and wedding breakfast was incredible. Emma was there every step of the way supporting myself and Pete making sure we were ok and we knew what was happening next etc. The carvery was amazing, everyone loved it. All our families commented on how amazing all the staff were and how welcomed they were made to feel. We truly had the most perfect day. We cant thank Emma and all the Dartmoor Lodge staff for everything. We had the best wedding day !!! Magical Wedding day !Magical Wedding day !
I had my wedding here on the 1st of June 2019 and can not recommend this place enough. I originally come here for a Sunday carvery when my family come down from where they live or any occasion we just love any excuse to come here for their delicious food. It was also a place that meant a lot to my grandad for the same reasons and sadly when he passed away we had his funeral here which was beautiful and they made it so special for us. So when my now Husband got down on one knee We knew exactly where we wanted to get married knowing the Dartmoor Lodge do weddings! So exited we didn’t waist much time booking a date for the wedding and the Dartmoor Lodge has some great package deals to suit what kind of wedding you’d like and even change and tweak a few things so that it was exactly what we wanted and nothing was to much trouble at all. leading up to the day we had many meetings with Emma the wedding coordinator who is the most friendly happy and caring lady! She is so reassuring and really knows what she’s doing as well as Di and the rest of the team who go above and beyond for you. Nervously Through out we were never left not knowing what was going to happen and everything was rather straight forward being left in the hands of these wonderful people! On the wedding day I stayed in a lovely room on the ground floor with my bridesmaids and we also had dinner the night before which was amazing and very chilled out. That morning emma and the team were already up and about coming into the room to make sure everything was running smoothly and letting us know when certain people were arriving and even allowing us to eat our breakfast while getting ready. I truly had the most amazing day and would get married 1000 times over knowing everything is in safe hands with the people of this beautiful place. After the ceremony which I also had at the Dartmoor Lodge which ran so smoothly, we went out into the garden area which was amazing to just chill and have photos drinks etc and was also great for the kids running about having a play as there was small fencing around so you'd always see if some were trying to escape. We were never left wondering what is happening now as we were always reassured throughout the day and what was about to happen. For our dinner we chose to have a carvery (of course) which was amazing as usual ! The comments after from our family and friends was that they all said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! Then going on into the night the party was all amazing and had buffet food and my wedding cake served for which was all amazing Everything down to the room that night was incredible and breakfast the next morning on a hangover was the very best !! Everything about the whole day was magical for us and we owe it so much to everyone at the Dartmoor Lodge And can’t thank you all enough for making our day so amazing If your debating about getting married here ... The dartmoor lodge were fantastic from start to finish. They looked after us so well and made sure everything was exactly as we wanted it. Di and emma were amazing infact all the staff were amazing. What an amazing day!What an amazing day!
We had our wedding reception here on 20th October 2018 and it was the perfect day. Di, Emma and the team worked so hard to accommodate the large number of guests we had attending and all of our guests were very impressed with the venue, particularly commenting on the delicious food and great service. We chose this wedding venue without having seen any others because we loved the atmosphere and the friendly feel of the Lodge and it was perfect! Thank you for making our day so wonderful.We had our wedding reception here on 20th October 2018 and it was the perfect day. Di, Emma and the team worked so hard to accommodate the large number of guests we had attending and all of our guests were very impressed with the venue, particularly commenting on the delicious food and great service. We have just gotten married at the Dartmoor Lodge and I cannot begin to describe how amazing this venue is and how wonderful the staff are. Our day ran smoothly and we felt cared for. There was nothing the staff wouldn't do for us. Even our guests could not stop complimenting them. They were on hand from our arrival Friday afternoon until our departure Sunday morning. This doesn't include everything they do leading up to the big day! We have just gotten married at the Dartmoor Lodge and I cannot begin to describe how amazing this venue is and how wonderful the staff are. Our day ran smoothly and we felt cared for. We had our wedding reception at Dartmoor Lodge after our church service on the 30th June 2018 and were blown away by how well everything went! We didn't look at any other venues after our 1st meeting with Di - such a relaxed process from start to finish, helping us with all the little details that made it so perfect for us. Nothing was too much trouble and even on the day, everything ran so smoothly. We had incredible weather and our guests were greeted in the gardens with a red carpet, pimms and canapes during photos, before sitting down to the most amazing meal. Our mini honeymoon was the perfect end and prolonged that wedding feeling. We both cant thank you enough for making our wedding day so special and we will be back! The best day of our life The best day of our life
The most amazing and wonderful wedding venue! We had an absolutly fantastic faultless wedding day, Pure perfection and everything we dreamed of, every step of the way Di was there to help, advise and recommend, we fell in love with the dartmoor lodge the moment we met Di, her love and passion for weddings made the decision so easy we looked at no other venues, the staff were so helpful on our wedding day, and attentive nothing was to much trouble, the marquee was everything we wanted the garden was beautiful perfect for the summer day that we had, the hotel accommodated all our guests and beds were so comfy! The food was so yummy! It even won over the most fussiest of eaters, the hog roast was fantastic the decorations provided by the dartmoor lodge was perfect! And really can't thank the team enough for being so accommodating, helpful and made our wedding day so perfect! We still talk about it all the time on just how perfect it was, the team worked everything out to time so we didn't have to worry about a think, the whole experience and the wedding was magical. Also what we didn't realise until the day is that the here is a piece of land accross the where you can have pictures taken that are beautiful, really topped it of perfectectly :)The most amazing and wonderful wedding venue! We had our wedding here 02/06/18. We booked our wedding 2.5 years ago and after viewing many venues it was Di and Trevor that made it so easy to choose the Dartmoor Lodge. They made us feel special from the very start and could not of been more supportive if they tried. Me and my husband are very laid back so we needed someone as organised as Di. Di helped us every step along the way. I can honestly say that our wedding day was the best day of our lives and I can honestly say that was down to everyone at the Dartmoor Lodge. If you want a relaxed, person centred wedding then this venue wins hands down. If in any doubt go down for a carvery and that will set your mind at ease as the food alone is incredible.
