Probably built as a Royal Hunting lodge and very much a stately home since the 16th century, Great Fosters is a Grade One listed building blessed with the grandeur of 16th century England and luxurious modern facilities. The romantic gardens provide an idyllic backdrop for photographs and the hotel has 43 bedrooms and is licensed for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. The Tithe Barn, dating from 1390, accommodates up to 180 guests for a wedding breakfast whilst the Orangery, in the style of the eighteenth century, accommodates up to 80 guests. Food at Great Fosters is important to us whether we are catering for two or two hundred. We put the same emphasis on our wedding menus as we do for our restaurants and our talented kitchen brigade take great pride in creating dishes that not only look fabulous but also exceed your expectations on the taste front too. From your initial enquiry our experienced wedding co-ordinators will work with you to create the memorable day you have always imagined.

We had an absolutely amazing wedding and can not fault a single thing. It went better than expected and we did not want the night to end. All our guests loved the food and were amazed by the venue. Marc and I would like to thank you and the whole team at Great Fosters. Everything went amazingly , all details were just perfect and nothing was missed. Both rooms looked beautiful and I must say as I walked into the Barn I was pretty overwhelmed by how stunning it looked. I only have you and the team to thank for that. Our guests kept saying how brilliant the staff were and how every detail/ any additional requests were no bother. I must say I have not been to another hotel which matches the level of service the team delivered , they were all just amazing. Please do pass on our thanks, forward this email to everyone, it truly was the best day of our lives , I couldn't have imagined having it in any other venue.Marc and I would like to thank you and the whole team at Great Fosters. We can't thank you and your team enough! What a truly fabulous day we had. The service exceptional especially the gentleman who coordinated the day. From the minute he collected me from the suit until the end of the evening. He was superb. Friendly, professional and incredibly good at what he did. He made us feel at complete ease throughout. The food was absolutely outstanding. The canapés were just fantastic. People actually started following the servers around.We can't thank you and your team enough! What a truly fabulous day we had. The service exceptional especially the gentleman who coordinated the day. From the minute he collected me from the suit until the end of the evening. He was superb. I honestly don't know where to begin with praising your amazing staff and explaining just how truly perfect our wedding day was. We booked to have our wedding at Great Fosters just under two years from the date and from the moment we signed our contracts your staff couldn't have been more helpful. Being quite a perfectionist myself I knew very quickly exactly how we wanted our wedding and had a certain vision in my mind. I can not praise Nina enough for all her help, advice and replying to my many emails of concern and phone calls. Nina was constantly polite and efficient and really could not do enough for us. Jose was absolutely brilliant the night before the wedding and went through everything with me. I said to him to please come and see me if there was anything I hadn't sorted or made clear, and the morning of the wedding he popped up to my room to double check the room arrangements as it hadn't quite worked how I had wanted it & he didn't want to change anything without checking with me first.
