After Hause Hall Farm became authorised as a civil wedding venue, we have started offering wedding breaks at Hause Hall Farm but do not advertise this on a wide basis and we do not have a standard brochure, nor are we really sure that we would like to have such a thing, as we do not see ourselves as offering a set of standard wedding packages. We do not anticipate becoming a major commercial wedding venue preferring instead to remain more personal and smaller scale in terms of numbers of weddings. We offer wedding weekends and mid week weddings with a minimum of a three night stay at our properties and do not offer single night bookings. Hause Hall Farm is in Martindale which is in the heart of the northern Lake District National Park. It is a five bedroom Grade II listed traditional farmhouse which overlooks the fells. Within Hause Hall farmhouse, four of its five bedrooms are ensuite and the fifth has a private bathroom across the hall. There is additional guest accommodation in the Cruik Barn which is a detached two storey stone barn which is directly across the yorkstone terrace from the farm house. It has a galleried living room with an open fire, a breakfasting kitchen and two ensuite bedrooms. The Stables is on the other side of the courtyard from the farm house. The Stables has two ground floor ensuite double bedrooms. Between the three Grade II listed buildings up to 18 guests can be accommodated in nine ensuite double bedrooms.

Famous local author A W Wainwright described the Ullswater lakeside walk which starts just at the base of Hallin Fell as “the most beautiful and rewarding in Lakeland".

We request a three night (minimum stay) wedding weekend or mid week wedding at Hause Hall Farm in 2019 is running at £62 per person per night based on full occupancy of the properties including all costs of the ensuite accommodation, linen, towels, guest hampers, guest bathroom toiletries, logs & kindling, broadband wifi etc. If your requested dates fall in the Summer Holidays then the price is £64 per person per night based on full occupancy of the properties. We also request a £500 refundable security deposit.

“Luxurious accommodation with outstanding views” Reviewed 22 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017 We stayed at the barn and farm as there were a number of us but we could easily accommodate everyone at the large kitchen diner/ living areas, as one group, with plenty of plates, cutlery etc. Beautiful accommodation - with great attention to the smaller but important details that one appreciates, such as the toilet sets ( Molton Brown no less!) in each of the many bathrooms. The view from the large conservatory was stunning and the gardens well kept and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. We loved the open fire in the living area; the rooms were warm from good central heating and plenty of hot water. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. We go away as a group twice yearly. Our Wedding Dream Achieved. Our Wedding Dream Achieved.
Our Wedding Dream Achieved. Left on May 12, 2018 for a stay in Apr 2018 My husband and I (heehee) had a small wedding with approximately 16 guests here at the end of April. We actually had Blencowe Hall booked since 2014 as we fell in love with it from a photograph. All communication from the owners, managers and latterly the wedding planner was prompt and they could not do enough to help. Even providing equipment for my granny to use (raised toilet seat and grab rails) which was very much above and beyond. We arrived early on the Friday and they very nicely allowed us to get in early which allowed me to set up the rooms and get prepared for everyone else arriving. The rooms were all flawless. Absolutely spotless and all beautiful. I loved the addition of daffodils to the rooms. Unknown to them but my favourite flower. We also had a wonderful hamper which was full of delicious and local treats. We had booked Lynn Hilditch to do our catering and she was phenomenal. We discussed our menu and she made it beautifully. We told Lynn that my family were big eaters and the amount of food was more than we could manage in one sitting. Lynn even made extra puddings as some wanted both options. Anyway, back to the hall. We had a minor hiccup on the Saturday night when my nephew was sick in his bedroom (only 7 years old). We apologised and they were again, wonderful. Asked if he was okay and told us not to worry about the room. The only downside we had the whole weekend was that the exterior lights weren't working to begin with and one of the radiators was leaking. However, the staff were amazing. Sent a plumber straight out to fix the radiator and came round themselves later to sort out the lights. Fantastic venue. Amazing meal. It really was our dream wedding. Thank you to all at Blencowe Hall/Rowley Estates for making our wedding weekend a wonderful, beautiful one and for giving us great memories of one of the biggest days of our lives. :)Our Wedding Dream Achieved. “Fantastic accommodation in The Lakes for large groups/families” Reviewed 22 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017 Myself and 11 other fabulous friends stayed at Hause Hall and Cruik Barn last weekend and it was the best accommodation we have ever found in our 25 years of meeting up twice yearly for our girly get-togethers. The house and barn were both furnished to a very high standard, bedrooms and bathrooms all beautifully decorated and modern, warm and comfortable. The views from the conservatory are stunning and all our walks started on the doorstep. Welcomed with a fully stocked hamper too which was very much appreciated. I would love to stay there again in the future and if I could choose from all the places we've stayed, I would choose this one; it was the best of the best. Definitely the most spacious, warm, comfortable accommodation which offered the 12 of us space and relaxation away from the stresses of the big world out there. The best location in 25 years of weekends away (often twice a year, so that's a lot of rental properties!) Highlights included an excellent meal and overnight stay at Sharrow Bay, a lovely trip on Ullswater Steamer to Glenridding followed by a tasty lunch at Lowther Tea Rooms and the weather has also been amazing.
