FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

That's too hard to answer! We love EVERY wedding we have the pleasure of hosting!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Ask questions! Never ever be afraid to ask questions.... it is what we are here for. It's also not what most people do everyday - but luckily for you... we do! Therefore we should have the answers to your questions as this isn't the first time we've done this. We are always happy to answers questions (however silly you think they may seem) and offer advice and help along your planning journey.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We had a bride who provided her florist with antique china teacups - that were her grandmothers - which the florist dressed with beautiful flowers and then they were used as centre pieces. It was a really lovely way for the brides grandmother to be part of their special day even though she was no longer with them.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

That's hard to say - there are lots! I think most of us would agree that we love photos taken from the bottom of our wedding walk, looking over the lawns towards the hall. Photographers can position the happy couple under the grand tree situated in the lawns and have the hall in the background.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Warm cheese twists!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Vegetable samosas from our evening buffet... these always go down very very well with wedding guests

What is your venue's most unique feature?

We have a bell tower within the grounds, which has the names of all our couples on if they had their civil ceremony with us. It is common to see past couples coming up to the estate to take a selfie in front of their name on their anniversaries!
