FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

We are as flexible as possible so we can accommodate lots of requests to really make a day personal to you both. We have hosted a traction engine, vintage buses, a lorry, confetti pony, horse and trap, family pets, dodgems, helicopters, and even a carousel!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

It can seem daunting at the start with so many choices to make. Just make one decision at a time and it will all fall into place. If you are stuck or unsure you can always ask us for advice.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Some hand made paper flowers making full bouquets and mantelpiece displays were truly impressive. Personalised luggage tags were an excellent favour, as were mini potted plants.

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Intimate, Personal, Elegant, Friendly, Beautiful.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

Maybe in the meadow in the summer with the wild flowers and the sound of crickets.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

The Hall has historical and more recent links to royalty. Edward VII stayed here when we attended the races at Newmarket.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Anything with duck or goat's cheese!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

You'll find me at the cheese board.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

The Sunken Garden is completely walled and accessed down stone steps. The beds are full of beautiful and vibrant coloured flowers and the lavender attracts countless butterflies.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

The Wedding Suite always gets a wow when we show it- I always leave it for last. I love the mix of the original Edwardian elegance and charm with contemporary styles and mod-cons.
