Low House

Low House, near Armathwaite, is a Georgian Country House set in its own gardens and grounds surrounded by private parkland overlooking the River Eden with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The whole ethos at Low House is to offer a huge amount of flexibility to all wedding parties to allow them to create their own atmosphere and to personalise the wedding day as they want using the house, gardens and grounds as they see fit - in essence a totally bespoke experience. This fully-licensed wedding venue is available to hire on an exclusive basis throughout the year and can accommodate wedding parties of most sizes. There is the option to choose between indoor or outdoor ceremonies - there are 4 rooms inside the house and 2 gazebos in the gardens; for parties fewer than 40 guests Low House can offer the use of the house for the wedding breakfast but for larger parties it will be necessary to arrange the hiring of a marquee, tipis or giant yurt. The catering is provide 'in house' and the on-site caterers work with our wedding couples to provide a truly bespoke menu to suit and meet their specific requirements and the catering team take great pride in sourcing local produce wherever possible. Low House provides the perfect venue for a romantic country wedding set in idyllic surroundings.
