Description

Nestled between the Royal Forest of Dean and the River Severn, Naas Court Farm is a 14th century, family-run reception venue. Sympathetically restored, the concrete floors and iron rafters give it a rustic, industrial edge unlike most traditional barn venues. The setting is steeped in history and charm yet offers a blank canvas for couples to style as their own. Our family-led team offer a relaxed, informal approach while providing professional, attentive support and guidance from the beginning of the planning process through to your wedding day. Our ethos is to provide a uniquely personal experience. While we are not yet able to accommodate civil ceremonies, our dedicated team are able to assist you with organising a non-legal blessing in our cart shed or with seeking alternative ceremony locations. With views stretching across Lydney Golf Course and to the Severn Crossings, the barn enjoys a secluded location while benefiting from easy access to the A48. We welcome couples and their guests to pitch a tent in our paddock, extending their stay with us in the picturesque Royal Forest of Dean.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

Well, it has to be my own! It's where the journey began. The South Barn at Naas Court Farm was renovated for my own wedding (Joanne - Venue Manager) in summer 2018.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Have YOUR wedding, YOUR way. We like to think that we are able to offer you the flexibility to do exactly as you wish.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Our most recent bride had the family's guide dog, Charm, as a bridesmaid and their pet tortoises as ring bearers. They then hired in a board game company to entertain their guests for the afternoon. Everything about their wedding day was personal and most importantly, brilliant fun.

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Relaxed - Stylish - Rustic - Personal - Welcoming

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

That's a tough one! Either on the main steps, in front of the oak-framed doors, or on the back lawn overlooking the golf course.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

What’s your favourite canapé?

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

What is your venue's most unique feature?

The iron rafters & corrugated roof. The barn itself dates back to the 14th century (with the site dating back to 600AD), originally the barn would have had a base cruck roof, however there was a fire during the 50s. The farmer who owned the barn at the time replaced the roof structure with iron rafters, which were taken from a WW2 hanger a stone's throw from the barn giving it its industrial edge.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

We are a family-run venue! The farm was bought by my parents 10 years ago, and since then it's been a family effort to achieve what we have done. We are so excited to see the venue continue to transform and grow.
