The fairytale venue of Shiningford is situated down a private tree-lined drive, just a stone's throw from Carsington Water. Shiningford is comprised of a large Manor House with 9 bedrooms & 6 bathrooms, The Tack Room with an additional 2 en-suite double bedrooms, and The Stables with 5 double bedrooms. The whole complex can sleep 35 guests, but has stunning grounds with space for a marquee or tipi to host your wedding reception for anywhere up to 300 guests. With exclusive use of Shiningford, you have the freedom to create your own special weekend, choosing caterers, marquee, flowers etc. We can help with recommended suppliers, but you are welcome to pick what is best for you, and we do not charge corkage. There are 3 possible spaces that you can put up a marquee, sperry tent or tipi, along with a field for guest car parking. Our weekend hire runs from Thursday to Sunday/Monday, giving you time to relax with your close friends and family, and enjoy the hot tubs and outdoor swimming pool. You can even extend your stay to a full week, for the holiday feel of a destination wedding without the expense and stress of travel. Shiningford is dog-friendly and has a children's play area, so everyone is welcome.

What an incredible locationWhat an incredible location
We've just had our wedding here and what an incredible location! We had a pool party on the Sunday which was unbelievable and the accommodation was perfect for the occasion. SUCH a beautiful setting for our wedding a few weeks ago. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and fun place to stay for the weekend of our exciting event, and area for all our guests to be in for the weekend. Wow – what an incredible weekend to have the wedding of a lifetime. We struck very lucky with the weather but even without that I’m still convinced it would have been amazing! I think a mention to the house keepers must be made here as they treated us with such kindness and flexibility, they even brought us ice creams whilst we were busy doing wedding preparations – absolute legends!! This is the perfect location if you think one day for a wedding just isn’t long enough! We had the most memorable 3 days and we are already planning a reunion weekend! If you want to create your own dream wedding, then this is the place to book. Thanks for the best weekend ever…it will go down in history!!!! Thanks for all your help so far, you've been amazing. I also wanted to add that you guys are by far the friendliest and most efficient venue we've dealt with. You wouldn't believe the delayed, standard responses we've received that don't come close to answering our questions. We recently held our wedding celebrations at Shiningford. The weekend was amazing and the accommodation was absolutely stunning. We had the most incredible weekend at Shiningford Farm, I honestly cannot put into words how perfect the venue was. What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Instead of a traditional altar to hold the ceremony in front of, one bride had the grand piano that she had learnt to play on as a child. Decorated with flowers it was gorgeously dramatic at the end of the aisle, and held a lot of meaning for the bride.

How unique each wedding is that we host, since we don't force couples to conform to a cookie-cutter template. It is fantastic to see how different each wedding is, all tailored to suit the individual couple.
