We are a group of 4 hotels based in the southwest owned by the Richardson Hotel Group. Mr Richardson has an eye for beautiful, historic and unique buildings which offer a distinctive backdrop to anyone’s special day. Me.. I am ‘affectionately’ known as the Wedding Queen, I’m very passionate about my job role, some would say a little over the top but I want only the best for my couples and that means attention to detail in all things.

The grand hotel was always on our list of venues to choose from. The location , views and style of this place is enough. However The amazing Lauren is what sold it to us for our wedding celebration in September. From start to finish Lauren made us relax and feel like family and nothing was too much trouble. She went above and beyond to ensure we had the most amazing day. The rest of staff are also fantastic and made us feel like they really wanted us there. Would definately recommend the grand. We were so impressed.The grand hotel was always on our list of venues to choose from. The location , views and style of this place is enough. Had our wedding at The Grand In August 2018. Lauren was amazing from start to finish nothing was ever too much trouble. our day exceeded our expectations it really was the best day ever. all staff at the grand did an amazing job the food was delicious!! wish we could do the whole day again! highly recommend having a wedding here you will not be disappointed. Wow just WowWow just Wow
Wow just wow. Both myself and my wife got married in this hotel and I have to say it was one if the best days of our life. From the planning stages with Lauren Marie Cooke right to the end, Lauren was our counsellor, friend and co-ordinated the most magical, Stunning day. She is a true professional and without her our day wouldn't be as good. Tom (waiter) what a guy! Absolutely superb with us, Our guests and our two boys. Nothing was too much for him. He helped with everything and he went above and beyond to make our day magical. Josh (barman) and the resident DJ couldn't of asked for anymore. In all this hotel gives more than you pay for. All our guests loved, enjoyed and have spoke highly not only of the staff and amazing customer service but how stunning the hotel is. Everything complements the other and for that this hotel should be ever so proud of their staff and the work they do. We are and will always be forever thankful and grateful to The Grand Hotel Torquay and it's staff for giving us the best day of our lives. THANK YOU. If anyone is thinking of going on a holiday or marriage then please consider and go to The Grand Hotel we and everyone who attended fully recommend this place.Wow just wow. Wedding at The Grand Hotel We have just had our wedding at The Grand Hotel and had an amazing time. The room for the ceremony, the wedding breakfast and the evening party were presented perfectly. The food was fantastic, the staff were all brilliant. A very special thank you to Lauren the wedding planner and Katy. A massive thank you to Chris the restaurant manager and his fantastic team especially Floran. We are so happy we chose The Grand for our special day and would recommend it as a wedding venue. One hundred guests have left with some fantastic memories. We will be back soon to eat in the restaurant. Thanks again. Attention to Detail was OutstandingAttention to Detail was Outstanding
Amazing team cannot thank them enough for a great wedding day! Lauren is a star she was there for us through all our planning for literally anything and she made the day amazing she helped me hold it together in occasions I really needed to! Would recommend a wedding at the Grand Hotel to everybody! Lauren made our dream a reality. Her attention to detail was outstanding and even now almost 1 year later its the most amazing memory in our lives. We met on the saddest day of our lives when my husband decided to set the date, unbeknown to us the date became available the day my Mum passed, Lauren was both sympathetic but also able to make us smile and look forward to an event which we hadn't envisaged. Lauren admitted after our wedding that she felt more pressure than normal to get this perfect - Lauren I am truly sorry Mum made her presence felt so strongly!! Anniversary HavenAnniversary Haven

We had our wedding at The Grand on April 15th and we couldn't have asked for a better venue to spend our special day. We only wanted a small wedding (around 18 guests) and the staff were more than happy to cater to our needs. From our first initial meeting with the Wedding Executive Lauren, we instantly felt comfortable and throughout the process she gave us a lot of guidance and some ideas as to how we could create a memorable day. She was great at helping us to create a vision in our minds of what our day was going to be like. When the day finally arrived Lauren executed it brilliantly with the help of her team. All of the staff were attentive and polite throughout the day, checking that everything was okay and asking if we needed anything which was lovely, great customer service! The day was exactly how we pictured it to be and something that we will cherish forever and that is all down to Lauren and all the other staff members. Perfect Wedding DayPerfect Wedding Day
On Saturday the 11th August 2018 myself and my new wife had our wedding at the Grand Hotel. Having had the service in Stoke Gabriel we returned to the Grand for our wedding breakfast and celebrations. This was the culmination of 2 years of planning aided by the absolutely brilliant Lauren. From start to finish, through the planning, prior to and during the day we have been looked after and treated like the most important special clients. The day itself at the Grand started with us returning from the church to a special welcome from all staff, their excellent customer service and attention to detail continued throughout the afternoon and evening and was impressive to watch. The coordination of meals/turn around of rooms and organisation was amazing and so professional. The Devonshire suite looked stunning, and was the perfect setting for the reception/speeches then evening celebrations. We stayed in the luxurious honeymoon suite which just topped off our day. Bravo to all concerned at the Grand Hotel, especially Lauren who Has made what can be a stressful day, a breeze.......my advise to those looking for a venue for their wedding is to choose the Grand. You will not be disappointed. Great place, great staff. Very helpfull and accomdating when we had our wedding there. As regulers now its great to come in every week or so and sit down and have a coffee maybe talk to some of the staff and enjoy the view or grab a table and have dinner and be severed by the best waiters around.Great place, great staff.
