Description

Following your wedding ceremony why not enjoy your drinks reception on our beautiful lawn with the barn providing a stunning back drop for that picture postcard wedding photo. In inclement weather the Gallery provides a large area with leather sofas and optional additional tables for reception drinks. With the back drop of the striking light canopy, it’s a perfect all-weather option. In the evening this area is usually used to serve tea and coffee to guests after the meal. It can also prove to be a useful area for a crèche, casino, games, film/photo show or any extras you would like to add to make your day even more special. Alternatively it can be used as a chill out area for those wanting to escape the music. On the ground floor of the barn we can seat up to 200 dining guests for your wedding breakfast. Due to the barns adaptability we have several seating arrangements which caters for all requirements. In the evening the Great Tythe Barn transforms to a truly spectacular venue for an evening reception for up to 350 guests. Our stage and wooden dance floor provides an excellent space for a band/DJ to set up and for your guests to dance the night away until the early hours At the end of the evening your guests can take advantage of a variety of onsite accommodation, sleeping up to 90 guests and ranging from self-catering cottages & B&B rooms, to our 5* Tythe House.

Simply wonderfulSimply wonderful
From start to finish we felt like we were made to feel really special, not just like a number in a long list of people getting married that year. Hannah & Alex were fab, always at the end of an email to answer questions. The barn is a great customisable space, which looks beautiful even before decorating it to be honest. I would highly recommend staying in Tythe House with your wedding party or close family, it was a lovely place to get ready, and we had a big family get together the night before, then a nice big breakfast with all the groomsmen & bridesmaids in the morning. We went for a mid-week package which had a lot included, and it is great that there is a few different caterers you can choose from, plus our package included free corkage which was a big saving. our experience and wedding at the barn was everything we wanted our wedding to be, relaxed, magical and intimate. The staff were extremely helpful and very approachable which was great for us as having never done it before it's a lot to do and they make eveything seem easy and as if nothing is ever too much trouble. The caterers too deserve a special mention (Dine with style) they worked seemlessly together and the food was stunning. I can't thank them enough I only wish we could do it again!our experience and wedding at the barn was everything we wanted our wedding to be, relaxed, magical and intimate. The staff made sure the stress and worry that can happen on a wedding day were taken care and the day ran so smoothly. Comments from many of our guests were that it was the best wedding ever and that was massively because of the staff at the Great Tythe Barn. We had the best day ever and everyone said what a lovely venue it was. Heaps of character and flexible easy going staff to deal with. Also the bar staff were amazing at the end of the night , wrapping up the cake and ordering Stefan and I a taxi as ours didn’t turn up, also being very tolerant of some of my drunken straggler guests who were taking their time leaving – they really went above and beyond.We had the best day ever and everyone said what a lovely venue it was. From start to finish the GTB team were fantastic! The venue itself is stunning and it was love at first sight. The accommodation side of things was important to us as we had lots of family traveling from afar and so this was a huge bonus. The team themselves were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble and we used to come out of our meetings with Rebecca buzzing with excitement because her love and passion for what she does is completely infectious. Perfect venue, perfect team, perfect wedding.From start to finish the GTB team were fantastic! The venue itself is stunning and it was love at first sight. The venue was the thing that set the tone for the perfect day. The team did a fabulous job at setting everything up & making sure it ran smoothly. We got married offsite so it was nerve wracking leaving everything to someone else but walking in on the day & seeing the barn was just amazing, everything we hoped & planned for & more.The barn & grounds looked beautiful & we got some great pics onsite.We keep saying we can’t wait for someone to get married there so we can go back & enjoy as a guest!The venue was the thing that set the tone for the perfect day. The team did a fabulous job at setting everything up & making sure it ran smoothly. I don't have words to say how amazing TGTB was for us on our wedding day. I have never felt so relaxed and at ease as I did on the day and the running up to the day. The team met everything that we wanted. It was the perfect day and I would happily do it all again. Rebecca and the team at GTB were fantastic. Veyr warm and friendly from initial call to book the venue (after a flying visit on an open day before we were even engaged!) through to the day after the wedding. They were flexible and accommodating in meeting all our requirements for decorations and drinks (we loved the free corkage!) and no request was too much trouble. The day itself ran very smoothly and Rebecca was a reassuring presence throughout the entire 3 day period we were on site.Rebecca and the team at GTB were fantastic. My husband...My husband...
My husband and I got married at Great Tythe Barn 4 weeks ago and it really was the best day of our lives thanks to the staff. Rebecca was amazing and answered any questions we had leading up to the wedding. She was so supportive on the day too. The barn itself is stunning and we loved that we could have our family and friends stay with us in the cottages.
