The House at Temple Sowerby is a Grade 2 Listed Georgian building in the heart of the Eden Valley village of Temple Sowerby. It’s a beautiful building, surrounded by almost 2 acres of walled garden, bursting with flowers and trees creating a perfect backdrop for those special photographs.
With 12 individually styled bedrooms and an award winning 2AA rosette restaurant, The House is the perfect place to host an intimate wedding. Our Events team has years of experience in the hospitality and events management field and will guide you through the choices on offer making sure that all your wishes are brought to life.

Nothing seemed too much trouble, and all done with a friendly smile and every attention to detail. Our guests have all commented on that. Your lovely comfortable Hotel seemed like home from home (only, with staff!) and your thought and organisation for the party on Friday night meant that it was a great success. We didn't get a chance to thank you personally Andi, but really appreciated you being around for us into the 'small hours'!! You both looked after so well throughout, and Lawrence and I can't believe our luck in finding just the right place for our family to stay for such a special family gathering in beautiful Cumbria.
