We also offer weddings for just the bride and groom/just a few guests and rather than our full wedding package we would be able to offer our Ball Room for the ceremony at a flat room hire rate and after the ceremony it would be up to the two of you really what you have in mind for your special day. We can of course simply reserve a table in the restaurant if you wish after or if you have anything else in mind, just let me know and we can have a look at different options. This offer is for a maximum of 15 guests.

The staff there were brilliant right from booking the venue and even after our big day. Hanna was so attentive, keeping in touch regularly right up until the day. The final meeting before the big day put me so much at ease, and the day just ran so smoothly. A beautiful hotel, amazing food, all the staff were fantastic and all in the beautiful Lake District. Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

You can take a romantic stroll down the river towards our marina and step out on one of the little jetties for dreamy pictures. Quirky boathouses and by-passing Swans on the water give you the perfect backdrop for your wedding pictures. Our beautiful Nature Trail also make a lovely setting and you may even be lucky enough to catch a charming steam train going past in the background!

The mini Cumberland sausages with a honey and mustard glaze are particularly moorish and are always the first to run low!

Who can resist a bacon/sausage or fish finger butty after a few glasses of prosecco!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Not only do we have stunning and romantic indoor spaces, we are also lucky enough to have the beautiful river Leven right on our doorstep as well as the gorgeous five-arched stone bridge across it which dates back as far as 1651. It is a truly grand entrance to the hotel and provides amazing photo opportunities.
