The Upper House is privately owned and steeped in history. Set amongst acres of glorious gardens and woodland, providing endless photographic opportunities. As you approach our long sweeping driveway, you will be truly amazed by the house that awaits you. Attentive staff will greet your guests and set the tone for your special day ahead. Our policy of one wedding per day will guarantee that all of our attention will be focussed on you and your guests having a magnificent day. Make a memorable entrance down the stone staircase and onto the aisle of your choice to say your "I do's". The Novello Room allows you to enjoy an abundance of natural light streaming through the stunning roof lanterns, enhancing your chosen colour scheme. Seating up to 100 for a civil ceremony and 60 guests for a wedding breakfast. From the moment you step out onto the grounds the sheer magic will encapsulate your dreams for your perfect day. The Pavilion is the idyllic summer wedding venue, set within our beautifully landscaped gardens and surrounded by breath-taking Staffordshire countryside. You're sure to make a elegant entrance, approaching the perfect aisle with your chosen music playing. Your friends and family will be seated on the spacious terrace, sharing this wonderful moment with you. The Woodlands Suite is the most spacious of our rooms including an undercover terrace, to enjoy your drinks reception, canapés or a hog roast. Mystical steps leading to acres of Woodlands create a perfect setting. Seating up 100 guests for a civil ceremony and 150 guests for an evening reception. Come the evening, the private bar and colour changing lights create a vibrant party atmosphere for you and your guests to dance the night away! We offer a complete wedding service designed to support and inspire you throughout your planning. Our Executive Chef and his team offer you and your guests 3 meal options per course at no extra cost.

Well what can I say ..... THANK YOU isn't really enough !! Mark and me (Liz Brown) got married here on 12/3/16. Right from when we first went to view this wonderful venue until we checked out it has been fantastic. The staff are so wonderful. Sam you are an angel. The food was fantastic, our last minuet alterations taken care of, help unloading everything out of my car. We held our wedding at the upper house on Saturday and it was amazing from start to finish. The staff couldn't do enough for us, service was brilliant and very friendly. The food was beautiful and lots of it. The venue is absolutely gorgeous inside and out the grounds are so picturesque and I can't wait to see our wedding photos. All our wishes were carried out by Sam and the team and nothing was to much trouble for them. we can't thank them enough for what they did for us over the weekend and also before the wedding ensuring our day ran smoothly. The day was over far to quickly but we loved every minute of it and would highly recommend the venue for your wedding and any other occasion. Absolutely amazing place and I'd do it all again. We held our wedding ceremony and reception here and everything was perfect. The staff were all welcoming and friendly especially the Wedding Team, nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely fantastic and all our guests commented on how lovely it was. The hotel itself is a stunning place and the views are amazing, the idyllic venue and backdrop for fantastic photographs which our photographer was able to capture. To everyone at Upper House you did us proud our wedding day was perfect from start to finish and we will definitely return for an anniversary in the future. Wow where to start! Got married here on Saturday 9th September. Our wedding coordinator Sam was awesome from start to finish. Nothing and we mean nothing was too much trouble for her. Every email that I sent was acknowledged and answered to put our minds at ease. The venue blew me away, the girls dressed it and it looked perfect! Sam and her team could not have done enough for us making sure that every attention to detail was met. Their efficient service during our meal went above and beyond! The food was outstanding. We literally could not fault a thing and our day was the best day ever from start to finish. I have to say though that Sam is an absolute asset to the upper house and I hope they realise what a credit she is to their wedding business because she worked so so hard to give us that amazing day.
