Ashridge House was once home to Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I, and today, it continues to offer a Royal service. Ashridge offers wedding exclusivity for that very special occasion. A nature-lover's dream, Ashridge House sits nestled amongst the trees on a 190 acre estate in Hertfordshire. The venue seats up to 170 for the ceremony, 190 in one room for the wedding breakfast and an amazing 400 guests for an evening reception. With exclusive use of the venue, each element of the day can take place in a new and unique room, dazzling guests and cementing the occasion in their memories forever. We have dates available for summer 2020 - May, June, July, August and September!

Easter wedding at AshridgeEaster wedding at Ashridge
Our daughter and son in law got married at Ashridge House on Easter Sunday and we cannot thank the team there enough. We had the most amazing time. It is staggeringly beautiful there inside the building and outside, the gardens the stately home everything. Hayley the event manager was wonderful in every way. She was absolutely at our beck and call and always available when needed. She made herself fully accessible both in the run up to the day and right till the end. The staff were excellent, happy, helpful, willing and able. The wedding breakfast was sublime, hot when it should be hot temperature spot on. As Mother of the bride I had my anxieties but truly the wedding was flawless. I could not recommend the venue more highly. You are especially lucky if Hayley helps you to organise yours too. Thank you to everybody who made it magnificent. If there was one thing that could be improved it would be the breakfast buffet - the food in there was not hot enough on either morning. But as mentioned everything else was to perfection so we happily overlooked this. An unforgettable dayAn unforgettable day
We had an absolutely outstanding and magical wedding experience at Ashridge House in April this year . The wedding coordination and support from Hannah Williams at Ashridge from the point of booking our date right through to after the wedding has been exemplerary and above and beyond our expectations . Nothing has been too much for Hannah and the team at Ashridge and they supported and looked after our every need from the finest detail through to larger scale requirements which included 2 services a civil followed by a Chapel blessing at Ashridge - accommodating our guests a couple of whom are severely disabled - Ashridge is not only fully Accessible for the disabled ( including in the beautiful chapel and grounds ) it also unusually has several disabled rooms . We were absolutely thrilled with our wedding at a Ashridge , the surroundings and the house itself are amazing in all weathers we had rain and sunshine so photos inside and outside and they all look fabulous - Ashridge were excellent with our suppliers and creative with ideas and support for us and the wedding party throughout the planning . The food and historic location is the talk of the town - our guests have not talking about the wedding and how much they enjoyed the day and we were even treated to a historic talk about her estate by Hannah to our guests in the wedding breakfast - so grateful we chose Ashridge for our special and unforgettable day !We had an absolutely outstanding and magical wedding experience at Ashridge House in April this year . The staff were absolutely incredible and worked tirelessly to make sure we had the most perfect day. Special mention goes to our wedding co-ordinator extraordinaire Hayley Whitaker who answered every question, listened to every request and supported us throughout the process. She was an absolute star both in the lead up and on the big day itself. We could not recommend Ashridge more highly to anyone wishing to have a more magical fairytale-like occasion.We cannot express in words how wonderful it was to have our wedding at Ashridge House earlier this year. We feel so lucky to have held our wedding reception at Ashridge in October. We absolutely fell in love with it on first viewing, but did the obligatory comparison visit to many other venues before committing. In our opinion, no where even came close. We were so fortunate to have Katie as our co ordinator. Nothing at all was too much trouble - she was always on hand to offer advice or to bounce ideas off, as well as promoting us when we should start thinking about different parts of the day. On the day itself, as the bride, I can honestly say I felt no stress at all - Katie and the team had absolutely everything under control and made sure the whole day flowed seamlessly. One thing we loved most about Ashridge, aside from the undeniably beautiful setting, is the exclusivity - knowing you are the only wedding not only that day, but that week, made it feel even more special. Katie suggested a perfect flow for the day, utilising several of the beautiful rooms, and ensuring we had a grand entrance down the magnificent staircase! Food is very important to us - my husband is a Michelin chef. This is where Ashridge continued to amaze us. During our menu tasting, the chefs took the time to speak to my husband, ensuring the menu was perfect. Absolutely every guest commented how amazing the food was. During our entire reception, through to the evening, every staff member was faultless. Katie continued to manage the day through to the evening reception, and I cannot thank her enough for how well this was done. Ashridge House exceeded our expectations and went over and above to ensure we had the most amazing wedding day. The venue itself is so impressive and the staff were extremely professional, they made every effort to ensure the day ran smoothly. Our guests also could not stop talking about the food - it was exquisite! Special mention to our wedding coordinator too who was so helpful and friendly, not sure what we would have done without her!Ashridge House exceeded our expectations and went over and above to ensure we had the most amazing wedding day. Our wedding at Ashridge House was perfect!Our wedding at Ashridge House was perfect!
Our wedding in November 2016 at Ashridge House was absolutely perfect. From my research, Ashridge was the clear winner as there are different rooms for each part of the day. Our coordinator, Charlotte was lovely and very helpful, providing advice and ideas throughout the process. She set all of our favours and table names out on the day and liaised with our suppliers for us! The food at Ashridge really is fantastic, and this was something that all the guests commented on. The service was flawless and all staff were also really friendly, from the waiters to the receptionists, nothing was too much trouble. All staff seemed genuinely happy to be working there! Throughout the whole process there was a very flexible, professional and personal approach. I can’t recommend Ashridge House enough, it’s a hidden gem and is certainly worth the journey. Our wedding in November 2016 at Ashridge House was absolutely perfect. From my research, Ashridge was the clear winner as there are different rooms for each part of the day. The best day of our livesThe best day of our lives
We got married at Ashridge house Sunday 1st May 2016 and i can honestly say that it couldn't of been more perfect. From start to finish Chloe Painter our wedding co-ordinator was amazing, she was so professional and really grasped the understanding of exactly what we wanted. The staff at the venue on the day were totally on point. They couldn't of done enough for us . We were treated like royalty. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a fairytale wedding. It will be the best decision you will ever make. It was for us. Thank you to everyone at Ashridge but especially the lovely Chloe.
