Imagine the wedding day of your dreams, an idyllic venue in Newmarket, superb cuisine and sensational service. Our elegant white stucco building, parts of which date back to the 17th century, and stunning rose gardens provide a romantic backdrop for your wedding photographs and create the perfect environment in which to enjoy canapes and a glass of champagne with your guests.
The recently refurbished and upgraded Classics Suite offers the perfect wedding venue - based in Newmarket, Suffolk we are conveniently close to Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds and even London is just an hour away. We are fully licensed for civil ceremonies, so you can choose to have this as well as your reception at the hotel. Our three self-contained banqueting suites can accommodate an intimate wedding of 10, to a more lavish celebration with up to 150 day time guests.
Here at Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa, we appreciate no two weddings are the same and offer a completely bespoke package. Our dedicated Wedding Coordinator will be on hand to guide you through the planning process.

The quality of the staff made the planning easy and stress free and all of our wishes were accommodated without question; nothing was ever too much. The day ran perfectly thanks to the professionalism and efficiency of the staff on hand and we did not have to worry about anything; it was all taken care of. The food was first class and we and all of our guests had a fantastic and memorable day. We wish we could do it all again!Our wedding day was perfect, we could not have wished for more. The quality of the staff made the planning easy and stress free and all of our wishes were accommodated without question; nothing was ever too much. The day ran perfectly thanks to the professionalism and efficiency of the staff on hand and we did not have to worry about anything; it was all taken care of. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and suggested very high quality vendors to go with. The wedding planning was enjoyable and it all ran very smoothly on the big day. The surroundings at the venue are stunning, and the food was delicious, guests were all extremely positive. Our wedding package also included a spa day which was lovely; we have just booked a spa break weekend there as we love the hotel so much!Our wedding reception was absolutely perfect at Bedford lodge hotel. The room was set out beautifully, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had lots of different suppliers to deal with but Elouise was great and took on the organising once we had chosen. We requested a special dessert and the chef was excellent in making this until we were happy with it. Food was great and plentiful, and loved by our guests. The staff were very helpful on the day, I couldn't fault Jonny he was a star. The food was devine - every plate cleared, and amazing memories were created in the hands of expert staff, breathtaking grounds and fantastic service. This was the first venue we looked at, it gave us such pleasure visiting each time, and no other venue came close in comparison. People are still telling us how much they loved the venue, and quite a few have already gone back there!We had an amazing wedding here!
