Set in beautiful Surrey countryside close to the West Sussex border, Gildings Barns comprises of several interconnecting barns, all of which retain their original charm and character and have not been spoilt by modernisation. We offer a choice of four local and absolutely first class catering partner and can also recommend other tried and tested local suppliers. Gildings Barns is a licensed venue, meaning you can conduct your legally binding wedding ceremony on site and then have your celebrations afterwards without your guests having to move on to another location. We pride ourselves on exceptionally high standards of customer care and like to build a relationship with all our clients in the lead up to their Wedding. Venue hire includes exclusive use of several interconnecting barns, chairs, tables, large garden adjoining open farmland and parking. It also includes the whole of the day prior to your wedding for setting up (the only exception being Bank Holiday Sundays when you will have from 12pm set up) and as many planning visits as you like in the lead up to your day. A wonderful experience from start to finish A wonderful experience from start to finish
Gildings is a beautiful barn full of history for the family who own it. The staff, in particular, Hilary who manages the barn were always helpful and friendly. We visited several times before our wedding day and had all of our questions answered including some questions we hadn't thought of! The Gildings team took away lots of the stresses before the day and during it. It has beautiful grounds with the option of getting married in the smaller outdoor barn (the granary) so guests can be outside in nice weather. We would highly recommend Gildings for a wedding venue! Perfect venue for our wonderful dayPerfect venue for our wonderful day
We had a fanstastic time at Gildings Barn. We were lucky enough to be able to get in the day before to decorate and the weather was on our side this summer to get married in the garden. It’s a DIY venue but they supply tables and chairs. All I would suggest is make sure you get everything straight with the vendors but about how your day will proceed. We had a few issues on the day but it didn’t impact our enjoyment. Only other thing is it closes down at 11pm so the party has to stop. And none of us were ready to go home yet!We had a fanstastic time at Gildings Barn. We fell in love with Gildings as soon as we saw it. It's rustic charm is just beautiful and has so much character. All our guests loved it and it was perfect for us. Memories for a lifetime...Memories for a lifetime...
'Dear Penny and Richard, we can't thank you enough for everything you have done for us. We had the most magical Christmas wedding that couldn't have been more special. Gildings is one of a kind and from the moment I saw it about 6 years ago I fell in love with it and I hoped that one day I might be able to have my wedding reception here. Thank you so much, we now have memories for a lifetime and you've both made that possible. The caterer Chris Moon exceeded expectations...so many guests commented on how delicious the food was. I wish I could have eaten more!! All in all, it was a once in a life time day in a beautiful and extremely special barn. Anyone else who gets married at Gildings is extremely lucky. Thank you. An extraordinary wedding based on a medieval-style banquet held at Christmas time, with long tables laden with a feast fit for royalty. All beneath the vast oak structure of Gildings Barn, illuminated by twinkling fairy lights. It was just spectacular and will be remembered for ever by everyone who experienced it. An incredible credit to the highly talented and artistic family members of the bride and groom.

Keep the decoration of the barns simple. They are stunning already, and are best complemented with country flowers or greenery and pretty bunting.
