Here at Maidens Barn we have the space and facilities to cater for your entire day – from preparation right through to a secret bridal Hideaway Cottage – perfect for your first night as ‘Mr and Mrs’. We are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies inside the stunning new Oak Barn and of course, for outdoor weddings in the garden underneath the flowering wedding arbour. The stunning new Oak Barn provides the perfect setting for both intimate weddings in Essex as well as larger wedding celebrations, easily seating up to 200 people if necessary. Chairs can be arranged with 6 on each side of the aisle in a traditional format or in a more relaxed curve if you prefer. The stunningly simple space within the Oak Barn has a high, beamed roof and picture window offers a magnificent space for wedding ceremonies. The numerous French doors open out onto the courtyard allowing the outside, in! Again, this space can be adapted perfectly for intimate weddings or larger wedding ceremonies – the choice is yours. Guests can be seated facing the picture windows in various configurations (depending on your numbers) and all looking out onto the ancient Oak Tree in the Bridal garden. We also have accommodation being built with 13 guest room that we be up and running early 2018! This is a warm and intimate wedding ceremony venue, providing a blank canvas for you to decorate. Rustic arches and terracotta flower pots work well within this space but so do white aisle runners and modern pedestals.

Perfect venue for intimate weddingPerfect venue for intimate wedding
We had around 50 to the day and 75 to the evening with an afternoon tea for food. Maidens Barn were so accommodating, good price, stunning venue and perfect if a country house just isn't you. Thank you so much for everything each one of you did to make our day so special. From start to finish our experience was second to none and we were so pleased we chose maidens barn as our venue. Carol was absolutely fantastic from the first meeting to all my questions which helped put my mind at rest. Juliet and the staff on the day all made us feel like a million dollars. We had the most amazing day and enjoyed every second, we just we could do it all again. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. I need to say a massive thank you for giving us the best wedding day we could of ever wished for. Every little girl grows up wondering how their wedding day will be and mine last Sunday was the most perfect. Your venue is by far the most perfectly stunning one we could of chosen. We had and have had since, so many compliments! Even people say that it's their perfect wedding venue too! I cannot praise your staff highly enough! We loved staying in the lodge it was so beautiful. Thank you for allowing us to have our wedding in your beautiful venue it really is the most perfect barn setting. I was privileged enough to be a bridesmaid for my sister at her wedding which was held at Maidens Barn. All of the staff where so amazing and helped with everything! The venue is absolutely stunning and is a hidden gem!
